Not sure if you are already aware but just in case you are not the BS sites are cosmic signatures you have to scan down instead of the regular sites which are beacons you can warp to without scanning.

Dunnoā€¦ I have run the cruiser site for the last four days, hundreds of kills, and itā€™s never outrun me, or jumped ahead 10km. using a Gila with MWD (about 1800 m/s), no webs or anything - just using drones.

The Myrmidon is very similar and in some ways superior in stats to the Vigilant. Has anyone tried the Vig fit on the less costly ship to see what would happen?

I would hope so. It is a battlecruiser.

Theyā€™re as far from each other as can be. One is a slow drone boat, second a fast and agile gunboat. What makes Vigilant a perfect choice for this event is a web bonus which Myrm doesnā€™t have.

The answer is you will struggle to kill a cruiser, and most likely you wonā€™t succeed. Iā€™ve tried those sites in Eos, and compared to it Vigilant simply obliterates the cruiser. Itā€™s also perfect for a BS site.

I have run my vigi against groups of 4-5 t1 ships of all kinds and won the dps race. I have yet to have a site taken from me by anyone and the only ship I canā€™t steal a site from is another vigi. It is king of this event for sureā€¦the huginn is a close runner up though.

Same here. With something around 1070 dps its hardly a suprise. Itā€™s also the only ship Iā€™ve tried thatā€™s capable of stopping both cruiser and a BS right at the beacon.

Vigilant rocks this event, for sure! But for me itā€™s the ability to quickly catch up with the cruiser using your med, then melt it with blasters and drones.

I have not been able to catch a single cruiser on warp in though, using a t2 web. For that, and ashimmu seems like it would be better.

Instead of trying a similar fit on a myrmidon (which will never catch the cruiser), has anyone tried on a thorax? It would work similarly although you would have to go dual web to compe safe for the lack of web bonus.

Next I need to try those BS sitesā€¦ see if my vigilant can run those too before the event runs out!
