Daily rewards reduced

I’m just a lowly alpha only newb roleplaying as a miner but why didn’t they take advantage of the skinr system by using evermarks as the currency for it? Remove it from dailies or make it a finite amount per day and there you go now people have a reason to do Paragon runs. Of course the missions would be needing a major rework because not on god’s green earth would I spend 14 mill for a mission only to get a few hundred evermarks and 500k in return. But then again they also introduced the Deathless ships to alphas but locked the unique aspects of them behind a paywall. That’s as pointless as turning a miasmos into a mining ship. What next are they going to give the mining barges to alphas but hide strip miners behind omega? Maybe it’s because I’m new to Eve but I swear the devs get high and make decisions based on their dosage and how bad of a trip they had. I’m all for new content and new options to do any particular thing differently weather it’s mining, data sites, pvp or mission running (wishing that was something opened to both omega and alpha experiences) because is a beautiful game but these changes seem like a half baked attempt to force players do things they don’t normally want to do. Nobody is going to farm Paragon missions because they run out of evermarks they will just stop doing dailies. Besides the only ones that will really focus them are the alphas that are training capped trying to get more SP. Omegas don’t need them it’s just a bonus.

Evermarks has been suggested for rendering custom SKINs in SKINR since the outset, so I’m not sure it’s something they’ll even seriously entertain at this point - especially considering that SKINR competes with CCP SKINs.

I’m also not sure we’d be able to even render SKINs for Evermarks (right now just the Evermark fee for corporation/alliance listings is upwards of 10k, so you’re probably looking at 100k+ Evermarks just for a basic SKIN).

The Revenant expansion continues to evolve with new enhancements and updates, many of which were shaped by your feedback, designed to empower pilots and corporations alike.

I definitely wasn’t asked nor did I provide any feedback about these changes…

With this new update and the increased flexibility it brings the number of daily goals has been streamlined to four, ensuring that capsuleers have meaningful choices without feeling overwhelmed, striking a balance between flexibility and focus.

CCP… The biggest lying scammer thieves in Eve…

So, CCP = Winning?

Seriously was anyone feeling “overwhelmed” by having to choose 2 out of 8 tasks?

8 choices meant greater flexibility.

4 choices means less flexibility.

Whoever did this clearly did not consult with too many people actually playing the game

Nope, but reducing it to 4 makes this whole process suck a lot more. “Frustrated” at this whole back/forth seesaw since July best describes my feelings.

At this point I’d rather see the ‘Opportunities’ pitched and go back to the daily 10k SP/weekly random SP allotment.

Opportunities = overwhelming, oppressive, overreach.

I’d rather see the whole thing gone.

:backhand_index_pointing_up: that :index_pointing_up:

Effectively, the mechanic is useless. I.e. you’re left with the new - more limited - daily task system, which is inferior to the previous and no means to “cheat”.

Until they run out.

And the only way to get more is an even bigger hassle, demanding you drop whatever you actually like doing to deliver packaged ships in courier style missions once every 23 hours. And the mission could ask you to deliver them a coveter. You’d have to acquire the ships yourself. So, for example, you buy/make a 53M ISK ship for a 4K EM reward. And only Omega can claim the EMs (another FU to Alphas). Correct me if I’m wrong, but to add insult to injury they are missions available at only 12 stations in all of New Eden. So it would limit you to specific areas of operation. Again, someone correct me if I’m wrong.

I don’t care what they want, I’m not dropping what I like doing.

Whoever does that is an idiot.

Of course, Alphas don’t pay subscription, why should they get anything? And any Alpha account who buys PLEX is an idiot.

I suppose CCP wants players to get frustrated with the daily reward - where you get 10k SP - and you stop completely doing it and just buy skill points from the store for real money.

CCP did this actually clever: First get everyone hooked on the daily SP dosis and then make the dosis hard/time consuming to get ingame but easy to buy with real money.

It always fustreated me that the mining goal was never duplicated and only appeared every few days.

Because it was too easy and too quickly accomplished. They want you to be logged in for 24h if at all possible.

Well it was a great run while we had it so easy to complete the daily.

That’s the point, Chad. They get you hooked on something for a while then they take it away and make it so that you can’t get it unless you spend more time, money, PLEX, Evemarks…
I ignore all their gimmicks, events included, and I just do what I feel like doing. I will not be lead by the nose.

So you doubled down and now have removed the 2 easiest daily rewards LOL? Make sure you leave in "Earn 50 LP for any corp because people living in null can’t get enough of traveling to HS for stupid reasons.

  • The “Manufacture an Item” goal has been removed from the Explorer Career pool.
  • The “Scan 5 Signatures” goal has been removed from the Industrialist Career pool.

Fine, you win I won’t bother with doing any more of these daily “Goals”. I will just log in and log out immediately like the rest of my corp.

Why would you log in to immediately log out? Am I missing something?

You have Never just logged in to check your skill queue? Can’t I just make a s*it post in peace?

Not really, I don’t care much about it. I filled it up so I wouldn’t have to think about it.
Thank you for clarifying.

By all means, my friend, sh.t, sh.t away :slightly_smiling_face:
