I haven’t playing eve long to really notice too much, in the past I played for a month and let my sub lapse, but I just came back about a month ago. Just putting that out there before I get insulted but has anyone noticed how lacking in finding unguarded data and relic sites has become. Idk if its because more people are playing but I can do this for like 2 days straight at like 3-5 hours and not find one site into like 5-10 systems. C1-C3 and K162 systems. Maybe if by any chance ccp could make a few of these guarded sites doable with low level ships…even if they don’t give but 1m worth of mats at least I wouldn’t feel like Im wasting my time. sorry bout grammar
Regular Hacking sites no longer have any NPC’s guarding them, that was changed a long time ago. However there are other more advanced Hacking sites which are guarded by NPC’s.

Yeah man, you might be warping to combat signatures. Make sure that whatever you scanned down has “Data” or “Relic” listed as type, and not “Combat”. And, of course, check out that link DeMicheal posted.

Rogue Drone data sites can spawn NPC.

I live in a Class 3 J-space system, and scan it every day. Since the ‘Wormhole Love’ regime started I find that a) there are fewer non-wormhole Signatures, and b) a much higher proportion of the Data and Relic sites are sleeper-protected.

You can clear c1/c2 sites quite easily in a low skilled battlecruiser. If your skills are moderately good, even a cruiser like a vexor or caracal might do the trick.

I retract my statements, the last few days has been rewarding…Unless CCP actually increased it with the amount of players coming back since covid
