So, it’s been a minute since CCP rolled out the Deathless ships. You really don’t hear much about these anymore - so have they largely been relegated to niche rolls? Were they overhyped? Was the whole “these are going to be op” thing overblown?
People who only looked at maxed out DPS numbers said they would be OP. People who actually understand the game said they would be niche and not that great or problematic.

I have mainly seen the deathless ships used in blackops fleets.
A single deathless ship is used alongside many other ships, and sometimes the deathless ship does a bit more damage than the others, but otherwise isn’t especially strong or overpowered in any way.
Coincidentally that is exactly where I thought deathless ships would end up: not overpowered but a fun yet limited addition to blackops fleets.
It could be that my observations are limited and have been biased by my own predictions, so if anyone can show me examples where deathless ships have indeed become the overpowered unbalanced menace that they were supposedly about to become, please share.

I have 2 cenotaphs that I enjoy using but I haven’t seen anyone else in one personally. Not in person anyway but I’ve seen reports involving them. I wouldn’t say it’s overpowered per say but it is good.
