Not entirely true; if you can inject for skills you can use right away to make or save you money, the ROI (Return on ISK) is actually higher than just the price of the injector. With accelerators, you lose time by still having to train for that skill, albeit faster.
They’ve said they communicated badly (or not at all). What more would you expect? Once the error has happened what more could they do? Seriously. Make a suggestion or let it go.
Everyone is worked up when they think they’ve wasted money through no fault of there own. So I understand. I would of done things differently, I’m sure most would. I think they will give us a gift to say sorry (speculation) but I don’t see what else they can do now except try and not do it again.

You were engaging in speculation. You bought the accelerators because you wanted them and thought the price would go up or the supply would dry up. You made a trade based upon your current and expected future needs. Turns out you had an incomplete understanding of the facts, which may indeed be in part the fault of CCP being unclear about these events, but again the fact more accellerators were available in the next event was public knowledge. In any case, you made a trade that turned against you when the market changed and that is part of the life of a market trader.
As for your losses, you lost on paper the difference in value from the injectors when you bought them yesterday and the current market price, which judging from the charts means you lost about 300M ISK.
That is fair enough, at least the first part. CCP could have been more clear on how these December events were all related to each other and you have every right to express your disappointment in the lack of clarity. As for the reaction though, CCP Dragon acknowledged the communications problem, which hopefully means this will not happen again. What else to you expect them to do?

I mean pure from the ISK/SP value.
A RSA gives you 51k SP over 48 hours for a price of (maybe way less now) 30 million ISK.
But you cannot stack them. You can have only one active at a time. But he said that he didnt use any and wanted to sell them. And this is the behavior that i question. I would always keep one active all the time (as omega). It just give you too much SP in the time it is running.
Time is something else. The injector is faster, that is out of question. But you pay for it with the (insane high) price.
Random is still random. Sounds like you got the really bad end of the random. Good news for you: the sites are still there so you can still get boosters and other loot from the bosses. It was just the event in the Agency that was turned off.

You’re theory is correct. And yes, communication was bad concerning the exact nature of the event versus the sites.
I was going to ask the same thing. I cannot guarantee that it won’t happen again. I will not avoid doing multiple events in the future. However we may wait until we can run multiple events using the Agency before we do so again.
Currently, we are unable to run multiple events in the Agency at the same time. We have always had a design on the table for allowing multiple events at the same time however there are much more important things that we’ve been trying to get to first. I think that if we had the ability to show multiple events, it would have alleviated the issues seen here. Each event could have focused on a specific set of tasks and you could choose which one to tackle based on your interests in the game.
I lost over 3 billion (by not selling them in time). But i can only laught about it 
. Because it was my own fault/gamble in doing so. It was not the fault from CCP. As many have said already, they only said that the event is ending, not that the sites do not spawn anymore. And 1 week duration, for accelerators that run for 6 1/2 more weeks? With this drop rate? Come one. Everyone should have seen that they drop longer than just one week.
If you miss the perfect time for buying/selling these, you will lose ISK, no matter what. But dont move the responsibility to find the perfect moment to CCP. YOU have to decide when it is the best time for it. And sometimes it can be really fun (Elite Drone AI…).
It was not only the longer running of the sites (the chance for this was there) it was as we ll the upgrading the drop rate of the accelerators that crashed the price for these.
But no one is complaining about this

Again you ASSUME I lost money.
I wrote another post where I explained which ships I used in null . I got enough boosters already, sure I bought more in HS for my alts but you ASSUME I lost money on them and this is not the case.
This is not SPECULATION when I buy items on the market. Speculation has the goal of making benefits with projection on the long term - here I made benefits by making only one trip to jita rather than one every two days - and this is for my alts that are not in jita, the other ones bought one accel at a time.

I think that would help with avoiding communication issues.
Why should they cancel the holiday event because a few speculators were caught out. The holidays is a time many people actually may have to play the game and removing the event sites would ruin the Yoiul Festival for them. I don’t think @CCP_Dragon wants to be forever known as the Grinch who stole Yoiul.
Everyone who held accelerators during the “correction” lost ISK on paper at least. I’m not sure how often the value of items is calculated, but if it was daily you would see a drop in the Net Worth number shown next to your character portrait on the character sheet.
But if your accounting says you didn’t lose anything, why all the rage? You are all set now and can use your boosters just like you planned to yesterday. You should be happy that these sites are going to continue to spawn all month long and give you more opportunity to run unlike what you thought yesterday, and make some profit on any accelerators you find since you don’t need any more. It’s like another Yoiul-time gift from CCP!

That’s exactly why you can’t listen|understand.
Who else would? It’s not like CCP miscommunicated the other way and is taking something away early. We get more of these sites than many assumed.
I don’t see why anyone else would be very upset with more a good thing.

I just said that this reaction of CCP is bad for the game. They should stick to what they announced. Even if they do so I won’t gain a benefit from it (because I have just enough accelerators for my toons and didn’t expect to sell them anyhow).

Perhaps it wasn’t clear that the drone sites would persist between the Arms Race event and the Yoiul event, but they were always scheduled to be running over the holidays. I mean come on, the accelerators are even named after the Yoiul event.
Just treat this in-between week of sites as a little Christmas bonus.
(assuming I did complain) If YOU only express your opinion when you lose money, this is not the case for everybody. I complain( ?) whenever I see room for improvement.
People here also complain because they lost money, but I told you several times It is not my case, though I admit that CCP did bad and is the only responsible for them losing isks : they changed the rules mid game.

I think you might need to take into account that the random he was experiencing was more the baseline in HS, I think you might find it was actually worse than you are assuming.
Never mind though, You have corrected it, and we all move on , and will run them some more now fixed. I am looking forward to the next one.
Can I ask you to consider that with the improvements you made with spawning of sites (at least I think you improved it), there was more site contention in HS than I ever witnessed before, naturally you win some and lose some, but overall, with the large amount of drone alloy, and drone salvage, (ignoring the empty ones as that’s now dealt with), It has felt very unrewarding, not just in isk (fun per hour not isk per hour wins), but in terms of mainly disappointing drops particularly as they were hard won, and In LS most are run when there is no one else in local.
I entirely understand the desire to encourage people to decamp HS and run the sites in Lowsec, But may I point out that, this type of social engineering has been attempted for many years, and has always failed, when lightly done people have ignored it, when done with a heavy hand, they do move, but not to LS they move onto playing other games. I had hoped CCP had learned this lesson, but I guess a new generation of devs, has to learn the hard way 
, for all our sakes, please learn this lesson quickly.
People do these sites in HS through choice, Punishing them to “cure them of their perversion” is purely destructive. Embrace the playerbase, Don’t believe you should change it.
Ps I liked this event and applaud your efforts, you are doing an excellent job and improving rapidly, please take my comments with that in mind.
