TLDR: It’s time to introduce a lower-priced Delta subscription.
…
This is a fairly straightforward proposal - introduce a Delta subscription option.
Delta Clone
• Option A: $9.99USD/month (1.0x skill training time; no bonuses)
• Option B: $14.99USD/month (1.5x skill training time)
• If you choose to PLEX, it’s exactly one half of the Omega offerings (ie: 250 PLEX/month vs. 500 PLEX).
• Skill point cap of 50M skill points (then you’d need to upgrade to Omega).
• Can accept up to level 4 missions.
• Restricted to battlecruiser class including T2 hulls (no battleships or capitals).
• Same Daily Rewards as Omegas.
• Can login any number of Delta or Omega accounts.
• Can sequence SKINs for ships available to Delta pilots.
Omega Clone
• 2.5x skill training boost (increase from 2.0x).
Alpha Clone
• Restricted to cruiser class (no T2 hulls). Yes, this is a nerf.
• All other Alpha restrictions remain the same.
• Offers more of an incentive to upgrade to Delta now.
You’d have to offer your rationale for this. I see more players potentially upgrading to Delta than Omega downgrading to Delta (especially since if you have more than 50M SP, you can’t downgrade to Delta). If Omega stayed at $19.99/month and you got a boost from 2.0x to 2.5x skill training, then how would you feel?
They would put it at a price point in between Alpha and Omega, and eventually would increase the price of Omega, and face a reduced backlash than if they did so if only Alpha and Omega existed, and if it’s easier to do it, they’ll do it.
I really don’t see that they would “eventually” increase Omega unless we’re talking about an overall increase in prices at some point down the road, in which case Delta would also increase.
You could also offer Delta for $12.99 or $14.99 a month instead.
