Denying lvl 4 (& lvl 5) missions to alpha's (March patch notes) is a very bad idea

Walk-In-Station, Captains quarters. Some called it dress-up Space Barbie, and they say it wasn’t used enough when actually it wasn’t developed enough.

Oh, PLease… BDO is such a grindy mess that while looking nice, caters to those who want to dress up and are willing to spend money to do so. The total opposite clientele of EVE Online. BDO is generally panned in NA for being the epitome of a Korean (Far East) MMO, catering to those obsessive players who utilize botting/scripting in addition to account sharing/obsessive hours. The gaming culture there is noticeably different than the rest of the world…unless you are proposing that EVE becomes a Korean Style game?

Doesn’t even have to be WiS. They just need to expand the services one can buy with PLEX. Those services has to be interesting and useful.

For example, add player made advertisements (those we see in stations and billboards) as a service you can buy with PLEX. So for X amount of plex per month you will have your ad played in X region/constellation.

Basically, they just need to give us a bit more than just skins that are recolors of existing hulls.

Paying for adds on billboards is not useful to me, especially when they offer the same service when you dock in station.

Here’s one. How many times have I traveled half way across the galaxy (30 hops plus) just to realize I don’t have the proper fit on my ship, but I have the module in a station on the other side of the galaxy. FFS have to fly all the way back to fit that part, or buy on the market (Doh!). But, what if I could do a station to station transfer? Pay CONCORD or what ever NPC a nominal fee to get my item sent to station? It could be limited so that the indy contractors won’t get bent out of shape, but useful enough to help a pilot in a pinch.

It might not be useful to you, but I guess that there definitely are people who would be interested in steamlining the advertisement system.

I don’t like your example with moving stuff by paying PLEX, since it interferes with actual in-game mechanics. Personally I don’t mind micro-transactions, as long as they have no consequences on actual gameplay. If we didn’t mind micro-transactions having an impact on the actual game, we might as well just sell golden ammo and call it a day.

Actually, you’re not. Wrong medium, wrong angle, wrong method.

That’s pay to win, as I said. Pay cash and get an ingame advantage over others not paying cash.

It’s not growing though, it’s static or dropping.

okay so what’s the advantage over others about flying back another 30 hops spending about another 20 minutes on something purely mechanical, monotonous and boring as hell, if station transfer was a service available to anyone?

You mean to tell me if you suffer everyone else must suffer and any relief in the form of some service from such monotony is an unfair advantage to you who would prefer to suffer?

What about paying for Skill Injectors? I hear people say its NOT P2W because it does not replace experience? Okay, does a concept like station to station transfer as a service supplants experience?

For example, consider two entities at war together.

One entity needs to move their stuff, since they are losing on one front and wants to regroup on another. With your mechanic, they now have the ability to risk-free move all their stuff, by just buying some amount of PLEX.

Eve is built around limited movement of assets and their destructibility. This is why the asset safety was a highly debated issue, cause it goes against what some people consider to be fundamental eve game mechanics.

Clearly yes! That you can’t teleport stuff from a to b, and have to find other ways, hauling/trucking, and clever asset management is part of the game. It’s like asking that if you accept a mission from an agent, there should be a “complete immediately for $$$” button.

Eve has never been about F2P, even devs said alpha was like a “extended free trial”

@op,

I have been addressing this issue, and trading related issues for two weeks in the suggestion area on the forums.

running missions at level 3 for 2-3 million for 15-20 minutes work is horribly out of place to the rest of the games income. the base isk rate, and bonus both need to be significantly advanced. level 3 should be giving 10-15 m per a run, and level 4 20-25m, and 5 35-50m. The ship sizes of the mobs should be adjusted.

Loyalty points should be removed out right, and a new system should be created possibly just giving a box that randomly give some item on the lp store.

Missions base isk gain rates are to low, the lp system is horrible.
Trading needs a new type of game play that helps new players build isk at a steady rate that is not effected by LP. Maybe something like “colonist transport” a new class of ships, and a specific job to transport people around.

It should give between 5 and 30m per a run, depending on to where. The new colonist transports should be sort of ship-resorts.

Absolutely not. I run those L4’s basically JUST for the LP, and I have specific items I’m after. I refuse to do them for a random loot box.

This is the only space based MMO that offers this kind of gameplay. None of the rest do. It’s by itself. Even if it wasn’t, the idea that “people are going to bail in droves” because of this change is nuts.

Oh they will because the toxicity towards Alpha’s is terrible.

“toxicity”. You know how we call something that is toxic towards cancerous cells ? A cure.

edit : I’m not talking about alphas in general, but about people who affirm that alphas should have the same gameplay as people who subscribed.

If you mean by “massive lag fests that are good for news articles” yes, i agree.
Other wise, totally wrong. Many games like eve. Star citizen is now developed enough to do things, he has a good point. CCP must stop new content spam for fixes to current issues, and they MUST negate from their “Realistic world” mentality, because lets face it, its a total failure and an absurd position.

Lol, star citizen, Kickstarter’s biggest joke
