What’s wrong with Boob physics?

Let’s not forget that This studio takes pay to win to the point that EA looks good

I’m not commenting on the financial benefits of the deal. I’m pointing out that this isn’t good news if you’re an existing EvE Online player. It’s not necessarily bad news either but it’s hardly cause for celebration. The conciliatory tone of the Dev Blog proves this but we also can’t expect CCP not to be supportive and optimistic about a decision they’ve already taken. No company can (publicly) admit they’re selling because they’re in trouble!

Nuthing Sir

Hoping for the best as love EvE as a game despite what I may think of it at times. Suppose only time will tell if or how much it may change considering how much P2W is in BDO, however not feeling real confident about it.

Whew, 40 mil in liquidity with that staff size… Am I glad my company is into boring healthcare software instead of video games, we have over six times the liquidity and a solid revenue stream more than paying for all the bills and wages with only half the staff CCP has.

Will Pearl Abyss be changing EvE to facilitate a hunt for the mythical “wider audience”?
They must be made abundantly aware that EvE is a niche game, with a close knit single server community.
There IS no wider audience. Any attempts to find one can only result in devestation of what makes EvE, EvE.
EvE requires a specific type of gamer to work. Changing it to the contrary is better achieved by making an entirely new game and leaving EvE to remain EvE.
Stagnated growth is not a bad thing, it means that most of the gamers that want to play eve are already playing it. The best option forward is to facilitate the best possible experience for the sadomasochistic people who play eve, and at the same time keep the door wide open for anyone willing to participate.
We will welcome anyone new with open bays, warm (preheated) guns, and freshly baked scams and all the content laden love a gamer can muster. This is a good thing. Dumbing down mechanics and gameplay to the lowest common gamer denominator will make eve as openly hostile as any CoD voice, or Twitter feed.
The motto is Eve Forever, not EvE for all at any cost. To this end EvE has to remain EvE.

Ha, imagine they forked all that cash just to get this forum with you inside as a bonus.

Clearly they lost that deal.

They need to make money. And, since they are sold, it looks like they dont make much profit now. Any buyer will want more than that.

I agree that P2W is what is to be expected now.

I predict that this will change nothing.

But in the interest of helping concerned players I accept all contracts of suff if you want to quit the game (can’t take it with you)

4.25 is the name of the most successful North Korean football (soccer) team. Let’s just take it as a fact that Kim Jong Un is behind the acquisition.

If you mean quality, you mean Graphical fidelity. I agree. But for anything else… Not so much.

As far as I understand it was Novator that sold CCP. Hilmar’s share was below 10 % afaik

I figure me pumping forum post numbers/content/discussion must be worth atleast $1-2mill.

But now I might have to learn Korean…

Donald’s little Heavy Assault Missile Launcher Boy?

Source?

EDIT: According to Wikipedia Novator Partners is a private VC run by an Icelander.
