Yeah Donalds best Buddy with an even better haircut.

this must be some terrible Mistake. CCP are you just telling us this to make it better when you surprise us and say we were actually bought by EA i could live with that

One thing that is funny about this thread is the perception that CCP was owned by CCP staff before. It was already largely owned by venture capital.

I think Pearl Abysses interest is mostly in expanding EVE and derivatives into Asian markets.

Unfortunately, that comes with substantial consumer/gamer/social changes.

The East does not play games like the West, and have a very different value system as to what they will tolerate from a developer than we over here.

Serenity is a point in case, on exactly that, as is the success of Black Desert in Asia, despite its very grindy and arguably P2W format.

Hush …

assemble the lawyers come together as a community make an offer for 500million dollars outbid them

Have you guys already forgot what Hilmar said at one of the fanfests(I think)?

“CCP is like a ship, with a hole in the bottom, leaking water and my job is to get the ship pointed in the right direction.” - Hilmar Veigar Pétursson

Actually, when you look at their timeline of business development and decisions, their primary interest is applying their formats to western markets using their asian market core as force multiplier.

suppose that’s where he met Trump the first time

“CCP CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson said, describing himself as “an avid player” of Black Desert Online”
If the CEO of a game is an avid player of another game, that says a lot about Eve Online…

“There’s also the concern that this partnership could lead to increased monetization”

BDO was a good game before PearlAbyss abused the P2W … Each time the Devs said they could not do anything because it was a decision imposed by the high management in korea blabla…

If you think that Skill Injectors is P2W, lets see with this Korean “EA games like” will impose…

Touche.

But CCPs marketing is a long list of failure, and Western players will not tolerate grinding/P2W the way Eastern players do.

Western EVE players lost their minds just cos of a cosmetic monocle.

I’m sure Falcon will love what CCP can do with PA’s avatar concepts in reincarnating old dreams. Probably shouldn’t say more on this.

ccp clown and ccp other clown … it will be damage control and many beautiful promises but a new company will not have to keep these promises when they fire these two clowns

that cosmetic monocle cost 70 US dollars

Hilmar’s pulled off a full blown Jita Contract scam at $425 million it has to be said. In true EvE style.
