well actually none of us do
Completely agree, moreso EVE I would say with plex and skill injectors.
On the contrary, the only thing keeping eve going is its hardcore playerbase. The game’s failing came from no longer nurturing hardcore players and trying to find some kind of crappy mid ground between carebears and the core players.
I imagine the new owners will give you more of what you want though. If you do, watch how EVE will either sink immediately and be abandoned, or have to be reimagined as WOW-clone in space.
Your killboard show that you don’t pay enough

Your math misses some other calculations, but when taking those into account the gist of results as you state them is not wrong. Keep in mind, PA does not plan to keep (in both ways) CCP forever. We’re not dealing with EU business mindset, and there’s subtle but significant differences to US practices. Also keep in mind that it isn’t like such timelines, it’s tranches, tiers, steps, cycles. Particularly that last bit, PA is a short cycle investment manager.
Before, one could argue Eve was P2W.
Now there will be no doubt. Might as well be King acquiring New Eden…
“You saved the bears!” “Now buy 10 Gold to continue or wait 14 Hours!”

kinda sad but this would probably be more successful in the end
EVE became P2W the second they started selling skill points sorry to tell you not much will change.
Do you not see the problem with that at all. The hard-core players are the vets who been playing for 10 plus years and I would say that 80% of the playerbase.what happens when they all stop playing? And you haven’t thought about keeping new players. Oh yes eve ends up having hardly any one playing. It’s that narrow mindness that’s kill the future of the game. As vets we should be thinking about it’s longevity when we are gone not our selfish views.
Follower concepts … to name one thing.
Play BDO for month and you’ll learn how.
You said that like wow isn’t the most successful mmo ever lol with millions of players.
Why would any of that be relevant? Most of those drink koolaid. They already normalise the shift to F2P. They already consume the opiate economics (yes, that’s actually a concept). Also, a big portion of those vets are older, don’t have the time, are ripe for further shortcuts. Particularly as through F2P CCP has removed the old age/ability gap that crippled traditional retention/acquisition.
They won’t stop playing. They will keep buying. And even if half of them were to leave, PA’s history is established. It’s the bottom line, even if it means half the customers, as long as the rest are whales it’s all good.
did i
i didnt notice it sorry
“nothing will change, they said so”
lol
suuure
Wasn’t it hilmar himself who said something like: “Don’t pay attention to what they say, pay attention to what they do.”
