And yes, if nothing changes in your decision at the expense of the HIC … Make a residence permit in the stations in WH!
No, but the armor Recons can.
That Lachesis was, as I said, sporting point, scram, and 4 Damps.
The Curse can hit 55k+ and run a full rack of neuts/nos (range/amount bonused!), and a full rack of tracking/guidance disruptors, while tossing out dps or ECM drones.
(…) like the very popular Claw doctrines, feel terrible to fight against and don’t have any clear counters.
The perfect counter for interceptor fleets are smartbombs. People just rarely use it.
Right now interceptors like claw, ares or crusader are good for solo or small gang fleets in null space. Null sec is broken - anyone can spam bubbles like crazy (Interdictors can place bubbles without aggression,
you can carry small bubbles to anchor etc.) which favors numbers over skill. You have more chances getting into huge gatecamp with bubbles and carriers, than meeting small gang fleet in null.
Well yes, but armour always has had the advantage of more Ewar in their fits and normally more raw EHP as well since they get no regen.
One can argue if this is fair or not, but it’s hardly any shift from overall armour/shield balance to have that same thing pop up here.
The point is more ‘what is too thin’ for recons.
Don’t forget destroyers. Whose class is tailor maid to destroy anything smaller than them with extreme prejudice.
But in normal MMOs if you can taunt, then you tanky enough to handle the aggro.
Anyway, congrats CCP. After you sold yourself to some asian guys, who’s gaming culture is sh… different, and you told “they will not talk into the game” you ON YOUR OWN make this. Meanwhile I understand that nullfiy too strong, now you just made iskprinting even more easier.
The ECM is a joke. It totally killed the small gang ECM game.
And where is the cloaky camper solution? Where is the wardeck problem’s solution?
For the HIC change it is just about time, and I guess nobody give a ■■■■ how it affect WH people. It is already too easy to just sit and open infinity WH until you find a good one for hunting .
- Alert, alert!! Our hulks are killed by claws fleet we losts alots of ISKs!!! Plz help!
- ok, we will remove nullifier from it, you may anchor bubbles, you will live!
… - thanks, but we still lossing our rorquals from randomly appered WH? is any way to fix it?
- hm… We can fix navigation “issue” from HICs no one will guess…
Help!!! These dirty falcons are using their nasty ECM to touch our fighters…
CCP, no problem now ECM allows you to Target those who are jamming them so now you can take care of those nasty falcons
So, lets change Damps & TD’s/MD’s to do the same then. They don’t damp targetting you, or disrupt targetting you, just everyone else. Then lets make Recons the tanky cruisers… But also make them the support cruisers who magnify other ships effectiveness while not being solo p0wnmobiles.
But this doesn’t make this ECM change a bad idea, it actually makes it a great idea.
The most interesting thing to me about the HIC change is that it actually makes 500mn fits less gimped. Their align goes from 4 to 20 but having a bubble zooming around at 6000m/s hasn’t actually stopped and they don’t give up as much to do it.
In other words: I think it IS aimed at WHs.
As a general rule, I’d say slightly tankier than a similarly-fitted T3C. The point of the T3C is flexibility, after all. And given the state of moon-mining in most of New Eden, they’re cheaper than Recons.
For the record, fitting out a Tengu with the same build as the Falcon: 132k to the Falcon’s 129k.
Before boosts. Which the Tengu can run for itself. With the Shield Harmonizing boost and a mindlink… 156. Shield Extension and the mindlink… 157.
And it got into position by running cloaky/nullified, then once it got into the target system, refitted to combat fit, including changing the low-friction rigs over for tank rigs.
I’m not so much defending you as Im against negatively stereotyping people based on their Corp/Alliance/Country. Like how only a small handful from Goonswarm/Nigeria are actually scammers just like everywhere in the world. It’s not good to assume things is what i’m saying. Like how IIdrara assumes everyone in Goonswarm is a botter until proven otherwise.
p.s. heavy handed parallels are accurate and fun to point out!
Edit: I made some really bad grammar errors and comedic Coughs above that potentially made it sound racist. Fixed now. My bad.
Ok, that’s a fair comparison. Though I’d perhaps argue that the T3C’s should be the ones to move in that comparison downwards rather than move every other cruiser upwards again.
But in that case you are looking for about 10k total when built for heavy tanking. Which switching from the recon T2 resists to HAC T2 resists should provide? Not sitting in a fitting tool right this second to check.
It seems a bigger buff than should be done with base EHP anyway if you move recons upwards.
Well, the Tengu’s already one of the lesser lights among the T3Cs. It’s good for being tanky, but not much else. And even then… meh. I mean, it’s not the 1.01M you can squeeze out of a Legion, and it’s not an effective Boost+Logi platform like the Legion and Loki can be (it just doesn’t have the low slots to get any cap regen). So it basically winds up sitting there going ‘I’m kinda tanky and I can run an info boost?’ unless you just want it as a dps platform…
… and if you do? Use a Ferox or a Cerb.
what? and how that should work? Everybody ECMed now have target on ECMer. There are long range platform ingame so having a range between ECMer and ECMed is pointless. Why damps should work but ecm cannot? This is not a solution to a problem with ECM. It is bad mechanism but that solves nothing, we can always lock ECMer. We cannot always lock damper.
We may address this with a specific mass manipulation module at some point in the future but want to move forward on fixing this broken behavior as fast as possible.
Over 6 years of playing, I have always respected the changes in game mechanics, but I regard this quote as a disrespect to the players. I hope so. that the ССP will never do so.

Really, the way to hunt ratters and miners is blopsing bombers, not interceptors. Interceptors really won’t do anything to rorqs, and smaller things are easily replaced. Bombers, OTOH… now there’s some good times. Best use I’ve seen is this one group that runs around in cargo-expanded bombers with a couple of command destroyers, stealing excavators. Sure, there’s no killmail, but then they turn around and sell the drones and pocket 1b per theft.
Will ecm burst then make ALL ships around me lock despite I broke their lock ???
Welcome to eve under PA ownership.
Only the first of many coming decisions you will not understand because your asses were powdered for so many years and now it’s starting to end…
Ok- so people complained they have no chance when being ECM JAMMED.
So they need to get a chance.
CAn you please leave a chance to those flying the actual jam ship as well ?
E.g. The ONE BEING JAMMED can SHOOT at the JAMMER but NOT SCRAM or MID SLOT HIM ?
Because - a lot of us save their asses by jamming an attacker, then leg it.
How absurd is that ?
I make a successful jam attempt in my hauler and then the bogey I just jammedm keeps scramming me ???
Sorry - why not make it so that when your cap gets neuted to 0 you can still activate modules on the guy who neuted your ship ??
Same logic.
Allow a limited set of options to the one who was jammed - fine - but make sure he cant use a scrambler or disrupter anymore.
CAuse- that is a big application of jamming.
Thanks for your consideration!
