Devblog: EVE Online: Invasion - Coming May 28th!

I’m glad CCP are expanding the Mutaplasmid content… hopefully it will cover most combat modules at some point.

Oh, and the Tech 2 ammo in faction weapons change is awesome :parrotwave4:

However… I would rather a Triglavian/Drifter battleship did not invade my mission deadspace pocket and zap me with a super-weapon

And beyond all hope, so far from hope that no conception of hope even existed: the universe, in its infinite wisdom did proclaim:

“The Agency will see the return of the agent finder !!!”

And that which had been sundered :broken_heart: was once again made whole:

So will this invading faction have agents?

Will there be live events, like before incursion? Oh wait the people who worked at CCP back in those days are gone now.

My big concern is that the outcome’s already determined.

There will be no way, in the bigger picture, to lose. And that means that ultimately, this will be meaningless, and treated as meaningless.

Ahh, pretty sure that’s still just an incursion. As I understand it, It’s not whether or not they hang around after that’s the determining factor, it’s if the ‘hostiles’ are “armed forces of one geopolitical entity” and they’re encroaching on another geopolitical entity.

I guess though in eve the Pirate Factions are geopolitical entities.

I don’t have as much hope as you do that it isn’t going to be a rework of the existing Sansha Incursions.

Cypr3ss.

Exactly my point, CCP is basically destroying Eve Lore by having Empire Factions turn a blind eye and not field any ships to help Capsuleers stop Sansha, FOB’s and Drifters from roaming around freely in High Sec space.

Now they’re gonna have Triglavian do it too. Come on man, having the game mechanics coded like that for High Sec space actually breaks immersion and more importantly, is a nuisance to players who don’t want to engage in that content.

I hear the trigs may camp the gates and since one of the focal points will be niarja imagine the carnage

Actually a gate to Lowsec Triglavian Space in Stain would be pretty cool.

For the thing to be meaningful they should do kind of global FW against Triglavs, so players could visibly push them out. Or even defeat eventually. We couldnt with any pirate faction in years though, so thats dreaming.

How many Titans would it take to blap that World Ark of theirs? How many of those Titans are they building? How many systems are they going to claim? Will they invade whole regions not constellations?

Power creep indeed - making Alphas, T1-T2 ships and small corps more and more irrelevant without Army Ant numbers…
Can you say moneytization - there I knew you could…

Triglavian Titans and Supers… Have the incursion be them taking your Sov and you have to shoot them with your own super caps. THAT would be interesting to me.

Triglavians burn Jita and every other trade hub, bump and gank freighters in general, and also hunt and kill miners and scoop their excavator drones all over New Eden both null, low and hisec? :dealwithitparrot:

Burn Jita, nuke the stations, set up a Keepstar, install shipyards, capture population, force taxation and impose sovereignty, then spread out like an infection taking system after system. A wave of conquest impacting the fabric of space itself.

That’s a proper invasion. Destroying existing sovereignty and replacing it with your own, by your own rules, your rule.

Sure hope they will be able to destroy star gates. Larger systems would be cool

Disable, sure. Destroy, doubt it. You’ll probably have to use new filaments to get to them.

Yeah people tend forget one thing that it’s only a game, that’s why bachelor of the NPC entities is not rational and the game is focused around us players(customers).

Maybe turn activation gate jumps Into a navigation style mini game. Make activation gates a deployable that we can aim. I think pve just transformed, we won’t be hunting the elite unit with loot, we will be running for our lives

It would so cool if CCP went that way. Especially if the Invasions came with capital ships as well. This would maybe cut down some of the stocked hulls big alliances have - if they have to use them to defend their space. makes player invasions more exciting too, lol

Would be even cooler when they Invade highsec as well and allow players to hump in to defend , yes capitals in highsec (of course you would have to figure out how to jump your ships there to stop it (would make treaties for passage a thing again).

Mmmm… I wonder if when they invade it might push Concord out temporarily?

You unfaithful one. If you kick a horse into the water sure that it will drink some, true! Just look at how many times this has worked in the past!

Or delay their response time by a few minutes. I would fight for them, fighting off Concord and high sec mission runners sounds fun, form up The Triglavian Death Squad
