So…since we all agree that any disputes arising from our playing EvE will be settled in accordance with Icelandic law before we start into the game…might that not affect things in this case?
Also, wouldn’t “CCP committed a very serious crime” be an affirmation at least bordering on…slander… at this point?

I hope this guy doesn’t get any special treatment for being a lawyer… I mean if they found out he wasn’t guilty sure bring him back. If he’s guilty and corrupt even if it’s an unintentional leak he should remain banned permanently imo. It’s strange though, because if they had damning evidence to warrant a lifetime ban, what could have surfaced that would change that?
But yeah this whole episode is gonna make the CSM seem even less trustworthy. Everyone’s got their own agenda.

Im sure its not as all bad as what people are making out; pretty damn sure if brisc wants to take legal action in court he wont ever play the game again either - if thats even what he would want, who the 'k knows… except bono, bono was there; hes a witness…

Even though i didn’t want to comment on anything i feel the need to stop your little train right now.
Nobody is being sued and everyone involved is trying to handle the situation professionally. CCP is responsible for mistakes they made but they also deserve the credit if they correct those mistakes openly and nobody should claim they only did so because of some lawyer threatening bs.

He should not get any special treatment agreed, but he does have an advantage of being an attorney. He doesn’t have to hire one. That’s a major hurdle for crime victims all too often.
As far as the permanent ban of his accounts, that is also illegal as courts of the world are tending to sway in the benefit of the creators of in game content. A EULA can state that the in game content is all owned by them, but when you get down to legal terms the in game content created by the paying player is owned by the paying player. Multiple court cases have decided this in multiple countries. EULA is not law.
Anyway, that’s getting a tad off topic. I hate seeing this as I hate to see one of my countrymen illegally assaulted by a company I have paid so much to, for all too rare time to play.

Dude the characters in game are CCPs property. If your son lends someone his action figure, then takes it back, then destroys it later that night and tells his friend, is that grounds to sue? It’s his action figure he can do whatever he wants with it.

nono they handled it right, ban people first; then investigate - its the normal way 
I must say though if brisc is inoccent he should be reinstated and those that accused him should be named, shamed and kicked from the csm themselves.

Absolutely. However much I dislike the guy if he didn’t do what they banned him for he should be reinstated and some at CCP should look for another job and the ones that accused him be banned instead.
