Devblog: Spring Balance Update Incoming!

A ■■■■ fit vni can already be killed by a single frig. Once this change is active a single Condor can hold a perfect pvp fit vni down indefinitely. It won’t have enough dps to break it, but the vni will be stuck until the frig pilot gets bored.

This entire Balance is unbalanced???

We spend 25B isk on a supercarrier, 100Bisk on a fit titan, and this is how we get treated??

How about the 8B isk we have in the rorqual fits, are we going to make them 20% cheaper even tho we are stripping them of 20% or more of there mining ability.

I am so disappointed to know that the 40B isk Ive worked for means nothing, so that new players in caracals and drakes can feel more important.

Ok, my condors do 5k. I can hold a vni that doesn’t carry warriors indefinitely right now.

More stupid nerfs. Time to mothball this bitch again.

eve is not balanced based on cost, history has shown it does not work. Just because your toys are expensive doesn’t make them immune to the nerf bat, a nerf bat the rightly deserved mind you

OMG you just opened my eyes wide I didn’t even consider that, there is almost no benfit to flying the rorqual than???

have you used a carrier before?

yeah my bad there, get mad much tho bro? I take if you cant afford these types of nice things

Not sure what this has to do with anything, since most of new eden and their mothers can afford to fly a carrier

Nerfing them this way is not going to “fix” the issue you have with them. The issue with Caps isnt their abilities, it is the abilitity to train into them as quickly as you can with Skill Injectors. Overall thes changes only affect smaller entities not the larger ones. Essentially nothing has changed.

so why are the changes an issue then? I wouldn’t expect to see so many people here to argue agaisnt something that doesn’t change anything

reposting for the 3rd time now

The changes are suppossed to balance the larger entities, when in fact it only effects smaller entities that use Cap Ships. So the imbalance remains exactly the same. The bigger coalitions will just Drop more, the smaller will still be unable to compete.

Of course CCP doesn’t need to provide lore. You do realize that you didn’t need to reply with nothing to offer?

CCP can do whatever they damn well please, but the best experience to be had by capsuleers will be the ones explained, and it’s a more pleasing experience if there is a lore aspect thrown in. People can relate more to lore, rather than statistical math.

Big, well developed organizations will always adapt. Balancing the game around what they do is generally a bad idea. because anything designed to stop them will inevitably hurt someone less organized more.

I like lore as much as the next dude, but wasting time making some up every time the need to edit a ships pg is a waste of time and effort

So, Just to make sure I understand this correctly…

  1. You aren’t re-balancing any Precursor/Triglavian ships OR Loki’s, two of the most difficult fleet comps to fight against.

  2. By nerfing FAX’s, and smoke screening it as a way to nerf capital ship effectiveness, you are taking away the only way a smaller group can compete with Precursor/Triglavian ships and Loki fleets?

Basically, CCP just supports whatever wormhole groups decide is their meta for some bizarre reason, and continues to make it impossible for non-wormhole and smaller groups to have a fighting chance in null sec, where they are just supposed to offer up Rorq’s and Super Carriers to satisfy the ganking efforts of certain groups who disquise themselves as “Elite PVP’ers.” This is the most ridiculous re-balancing I have seen in my 9 years playing Eve. Thank you CCP.
