This is a legitimate point.
I agree that there needs to be a change where a system is gives less ore the more you mine in it. In order to counter the incentives of just joining a big NS block, and make it so that one region isnât enough to feed 30k+ characters.
You honestly think itâs reasonable, that you can watch a movie or even worse⌠play another game, and still get the benefits of the rorqual mining at 150-200 mil/hour?
If thereâs one thing we absolutely need to get rid of, is the senseless ability to AFK mine in complete safety will still making some of the best ISK in the game.
That is a very good way to have your drones bombed and/or stolen (though after this change, itâll be bombed. I really do kinda feel for the Free Folk, their whole business model just got trashed⌠but I guess they could use a blockade runner. Hmm).
You can rework the boosher fit used to steal excavators. So it still works.
yes and most that dont pay attention in a rorq die a miserable death if you not mining behind 1000+ active players.
and the afk rorqs lose everything why should a active player in a rorq not be able to store in there wetuâs
Itâs almost exclusively under a supercap umbrella, yes. Mainly being Imperium / Legacy / Fraternity atm. And that stuff needs to be fixed.
I honestly donât have the actual answers on how to nerf the impact a super umbrella have that allows almost riskfree crabbing in NS, other than scarcity and spreading people out, effectively thinning the umbrella.
Itâs not the boosher thatâs the issue. The booshers have a much harder time getting out alive with the drone. They use bombers to haul off the drones safely. Hounds only get to 761m3, Purifiers 776, Nemesis 632, Manticore 620.
Blockade Runners will likely be the way to go.
same with carriers and super carriers.
Why should any active player not be able to save their most valued stuff all the time?
Stuff gets blown up in Eve. The bigger rewards usually come with more risk. My opinion is that you shouldnât be able to safely store anything in mobile depots the way you can now. The whole reinforcement timer is just stupid.
Iâve been here for a few years, And seen a lot of these nerfâs and some I said I would quit over. However I sit in station building â â â â that is destroyed a lot. and I go rat sometimes but ore is always in short supply . and seeing how most economyâs work you would think you would want it to grow instead of maintaining it as that would just keep the same base on the same track no growth. Now as far as nerfing all again. I can see the base dropping again. Yes rorqâs are powerful as is carriers . But to give them the power of a Volkswagen is stupid. When x small ships can drop a carrier as they can right now and people are growing to them donât you believe the game is growing or do you believe theirs to much income ? People have to have a reason to come to the game . being able to kill something to you is more important but you lose the total of the game taking 20 of 1 ship to save 1 is a stupid move. I have thought about giving up the game hard in the last year and almost have. as your balancing is always against the smaller corps and players. creating alpha toons to get people back or new people but when you kill their will you kill their game. Just like killing freighters by bumping stupid again with a Volkswagen showing how many it takes to kill the freighter dumb⌠cloaky campers donât use fuel just sit in your space true improvements you never fix. So with your fix to major components of the game for the few . are you willing to lose 10% of your base that pay your wages ??
I got news for you: doing that crap under a supercap umbrella will still lose you your drones. If youâre not paying attention, youâre not paying attention, and it takes all of 3 bombs to kill a whole flight of Excavators. Boom, thatâs 4/5 of the cost of the Rorq mining setup, right there. Not a damned thing supers can do to save them.
not hard to tell what will happen if these changes happen
Thought you were referring to Olmeca.
should implement some kind of afk detection, and if your afk camping, ratting, mining etcâŚu logged off automatically
I can assure you my VNIâs have NEVER been âsafeâ at ANY point in nullsecâŚ
What happens to Rorqs is none of my concern - yet.
It really does not matter . the ship that is getting the most attention of the players. Is the ships that always get the nerfâs .
Thatâs exactly whatâs wrong with this gameâŚHow about giving the paying subscribers some incentive to keep spending their hard earned money on this game? Faster training time, some isk everyone month? etcâŚ
I do a lot of pvp and loose expansive ships, all the ISK I make I spend on those ships.
Anyway I will see how it goes
I donât know if this has been said already, but if I understand it right, youâve based the Remote rep diminishing returns on all FAX having 4 remote reppers.
This assumption(if correct) is very incorrect, and you should edit to change to assume 3 remote repair modules fitted per fax and not 4, to make the diminishing returns strong enough to not only make it 1/6th of the repair power loss, as I (and others) think that it is not nearly strong enough, but instead 1/5th would look alot more logical and balanced.
P.S. Dreads need more capital gun damage and a slight haw reduction else with the inssurance payout nerf dreadbombs will be essentially extinct since they will be so much more costly while almost gaining no bigger advantage post patch.
that horsecrap what about lokiâs that can do everything and triglavians ships that spider tank like a boss they can kill anything, i dont ever see them get nerfed
