Devblog: Updates to Sales Taxes & Brokers Fees

I disagree with the changes to the sink in the first place, the current skill benefits are already a joke.

You’re right. I meant broker’s fee. Everyone pays transaction tax but on the sell side and it’s the same in NPC and POS hubs. The only thing that matters from the incentive perspective is the thing that players can set to be lower than the NPC stations.

An isk sink is when isk leaves the game. An isk faucet is when isk enters the game. Any insurance is an isk faucet regardless of what you paid another player for the ship.

why ok - ccp took passive income off Alliances with moon mining changes Alliances are probably hemorrhaging isk this might give it back ? just a thought

Ohhh, a very large bulk of players will still notice (and care) if the Empire hubs are destroyed. Count on it.

Alliances were enjoying their 1% tax 0% broker fee internal markets in NS. With this change it will be 2.25% tax and 0% broker fee.

Sure, but a lot of people bring up insurance as if everyone losing ships is making up the entire cost of the hulls (nevermind the fits), and just wanted to remind peops that’s only possibly true for t1 hulls of any size.

No one’s insurance scamming their t2/t3 hulls is all I’m saying, it’s not a benefit to lose those for no reason.

was on about the removal to npc station markets moving it to player as Wedge_Yamamoto was talking about

im not welling for increase taxe

Inflations vs Roleplaying

Im not a mathematician but those numbers dont seem to correspond with helping, inflation happens when we have an increase in the minimum wage and standard of living goes up. Since we have inflation will we see more pay outs from PVE?

That being said I am all about the Roleplaying. In the forum I dont see what the Taxes are going to. Will their be more sentry guns at gates, will there be new stations built? and what are we being defended from?

None of that matters because isk doesn’t leave the game when a ship is destroyed, in fact isk is added to the game via insurance pay outs. That’s what an isk faucet is

Profit is theft

if you want to remove isk form the game. Just add a tax on modification of an order based on the order’s new value. like 1%.

There is a reason why we cant just buy ISK, i imagine its so they can tax it and make us buy more, which is it really helping them for lowering how much isk is in the game or lining their ccps pockets more? I think If you sell something then it should stay the same and not get double taxed in my opinion

Why not full broker’s fee? You are, in fact, fully renewing your order. Also it is about time to take higher fees for longer orders (Why isnt this a thing?).
