Devblog: Vexor Navy Issue and Alpha Clone Drone Skill Changes

Exactly, and abyssal sites are also probably the most bot unfriendly activity but people running those sites will feel the brunt of it while botters won’t care.

They just reply and say no to ur requests. At least that’s what happened to me :frowning:

Heres my thing, I dont like a companies screwing over its players, here buy this and you get this, then they take it away… that doesn’t sit well with me.

Alphas or F2P is where the game market is going or at. I for one think trying to stay current with the market is a great idea, I really do.

Alphas are here, we are past that now, problem is how do you limit them.

I would really like for CCP to chime in on this Alpha clone SP issue.

Eve is a hard, the game, its a game of economic warfare from the start of the game, ships blown apart, scammers scamming, thats Eve its meant to be hard and ruthless. A thinking mans game… how can i kill, scam, burn players in game. Thats what we are known for, and big fights. weed out the weak, only the strong shall survive, love it. It’s a badge I wear with honor and have done for a decade.

Just dont like people getting screwed over out of game by the makers, now getting screwed over by a player in the game, yeah buddy thats harsh thats Eve and I love it.
skill injectors for those Alphas that have trained in the drone skill level that were playable but are no longer playable seems to be the most logical course of action.

And this nonsense about “thats what the botters are using”. If anything we Omega clones should be very afraid of that statement because its just a matter of time before we are affected by this line of thinking.
And scares me not in a Michael Myers way, but in a Eve turned to just another vanilla plane Jane game.

Brilliant. If you are willing to pay for Alpha Injectors to upgrade, you should be willing to pay again for Extractors to re-allocate the skills originally bought, now arbitrarily withheld. And again. And again

Very common sense, very logical- if the customer is incapable of anger.

Nothing builds good will and trust like telling customers they should have more carefully read a EULA/TOS.

The natural reaction of humans to being made to feel as if they’ve been cheated is loyalty. :smirk:

nah, you’ll need it for Ishtar which is 10x better than the VNI ever was and you’ll need it for carrier later on

I am not trolling.

You purchased a service.
You used that service.

Everything else according to the TOS/EULA says it is owned by CCP and they can do what they want with it including shutting down your access to the game at any time for any reason.
You do not have a leg to stand on.
So please, stop with the legal hurb blurb. You do not deserve anything.

The TOS clearly states that CCP only nerfs parts of the game to maintain a game balance. Are you saying then that you feel like the powerful alpha accounts need to be nerfed because you cannot compete with them and they therefore are taking the game out of balance? Nowhere does it say that anything will be nerfed because its better for the health of the game; only for the game balance and I do not believe that this situation qualifies for a nerf.

Racism to you, “omegas”, at first…
I know about extractors, just, from your “fat cats” point of view, that’s so called “reset” system (ROFL)… Normal alpha’s can’t use (5.5m SP req) it and with they’r budget can never afford… 4 example Blizz wow do full talents reset on every expansion release, like many others. So tell me, why EVE can’t?
If some1 still did not recognized yet (especially “omegas”, because story isn’t about them): CCP is talking about A WHOLE WEAPON SYSTEM USE changes, serious ones. And the only way to solve this, is full skill reset at least for weapon system involved (drones, in this case), to allow learn something else in such case, Because, sorry guys, 5m cap (in fact you can’t achieve it, if skill training cost exceeds available SP left)…
Quor - I`m CCP customer in this game case, pretty same as you, no mater, I did spent one cent, or hundreds, we have same rights, wake up… And face truth…

Do you have the necessary qualifications to back-up your allegations ? barrack-room lawyer

Whats also really funny:

Someone who is botting can run sites 23 hours a day with 10 alpha vnis. thats like 10mil X 3perhour X 10chars X 23hours=6.9bil a day. thats 207bil a month. oh no… suddenly its 30% less… thats really gonna hurt such a person… wow
and you only have to piss off the whole playerbase for this incredible feat… lol

Why do all honest players have to suffer under game changes against bot users? Just put efforts into bot and intel software detecting routines within the eve launcher/exe, revise the EULA and permanently ban these people as other MMOs do? what is the problem? we talk about software which provides unfair advantages against players who play fair… If you did that already, you do not have to waste time and loos omega subscribers because of this black out nonsense and nerf good ships to ■■■■.

If we did a poll if people think this is a good idea for the game, that the benifits outweigh the problems… I’m pretty sure CCP wouldn’t do it.

I’m not sure, so I’m hoping this is sarcasm. The general player base at the time were against SP extractors/injectors. Yet they appeared anyway. The general player base were against increasing Alpha skills to include tech II. Yet it happened anyway.

The way any game works can change underneath you at any time. Adapt.

The delivered and announced game changes against bot use and intel software just treat the symptoms, not the root cause. bot software will adapt the new VNI play style by just clicking some extra buttons…

Arent you out of joint cos you were Alpha?

If you want to counter bots and can’t do this, why not to use players help?
Add big button - suspicious behavior(bot) players will report if it was really bot, give 1 week of omega time + 100 mil to all who reported, there will be no bots in a few months.
If you want money, why not just ask? Guys we have finance problems, here are skins, some packs/bundles, plz buy and help us, no problems then, we will help, but removing core alpha skills, forcing people to buy omega is just miserable, what if community force u to make game free, or make new game couse all will unsub and leave project?

Okay, so you counter bots thats in 80% of cases have all they accounts pre-payed for several years by nerfing alfa clones. Nice work.

Honestly the amount of entitled cry babies in here is astounding considering this is EVE. I guess some people forgot that games change and not always the way you want. It’s a FREE account status. It shouldnt have had access to T2 drones anyway. On top of that, it is your choice and not the fault of CCP if you spent real money to advance a FREE account. Get over yourselves

Well every expansion WoW changes the talent system so a reset is required for most to all classes and specs.

Eve just adds more skills. No need to do a reset.

Again Eve is a commitment, that generally requires research or at least some thought into skill training. I have spent years training skills, why would I want to reset them in a similar manner to a game like WoW that takes seconds to pick talents? No comparison.

Alpha accounts cant compare to omega either. They are free/trial accounts with intended limitations. It may suck when CCP makes changes to them but that’s kinda the price you pay for choosing free, or the price you dont pay I should say.

For those that pay for alpha injectors. It’s my understanding they give you about the same training boost as being omega. Might want to look into what’s better, buying daily injectors or paying for omega for a month.
