Needless to say, I’ll never regret that change

Typical nerf something, afk’ers and botters just switch hulls and continue, while the normal everyday user suffers who used the nerfed hull pay the price.

Players aiming to optimize their damage using alpha clone characters may reach slightly better results using turrets or missile instead of drones after these changes.
I wonder how long it will take until botters use alpha clones with turrets or missiles. More difficult? Yes. Impossible? No.

Alphas have many drone options for ratting. Problem is that alphas use VNI not only in null. While dumb CCP trash VNI bots will just get another ship but other players (that don do ratting) are left with nothing.
Also its not only about alphas. They simply destroyed VNI as easy PvE platform even for omega.

All this is similar to extinguishing a fire.
Instead of extinguishing, you should not let it go to fires.
With alem you should state that the whole sunday ships, their statistics is one big mess.
It could be a great deal to write, and it would be a shame for me to turn my attention to a few things.

CCP, what is your fix for this? you cannot simply say “To bad”… CCP you should have never let Alpha accounts to use Real Life money on free accounts. What were you thinking?
Go ahead CCP and start issuing out skill injectors to all those Alpha clones that you are stripping drone skills from.
And as for your Botting or Anti-botting program… its failing in epic proportions, you nerfed the VNI now botters will move to the next cheapest ship with the best isk return possible, and when you nerf that ship, they move to the next ship. Rethink Anoms and ratting in general, maybe CCP needs a bigger budget for it Anti-botting department, maybe the NPC ships need drones of their own… I dont know… I do know Nerfing ships because of “thats what botters use” is fail, a full blown fail, bring back CCP SoundWave to slap some people around.

It’s a free account, how can anyone possibly complain. Not a hard assumption that free accounts are meant to get new subs.
As far as the changes go. Not sure it’s a solid solution to botting as many already have said many will just move on to the next ship. I like an idea I read, add stasis towers and change the AI in anomalies.

Your ass is already burning from falling online and it will all accelerate and accelerate.
It is not a free account if one spends real cash to buy alpha injectors. That is the point here. The very reason I have spent real cash to buy alpha injectors has often been to get the drone skills up to the maximum allowed for alphas. If CCP then knock those skills back, they have essentially defrauded me.
And here is a further thought - do CCP think I am going to buy more alpha skill injectors? It may not be a major part of your revenue scheme, but since the whole emphasis seems to be on microtransactions, it is still a really stupid move, as well as a morally/ethically dubious one.

As an Omega player with 2 alpha accounts, I’m not a fan of loosing skill levels. I’d rather CCP work on its anti-bot technology (if it has any, at all) instead of penalizing real players.

VNI deserved the nerf/change, especially in bandwidth. Very few reason to fly a Myrmidon since VNI could field the full sentry/heavy flight.
To reduce the skill points for an alpha clone that has paid for daily skill injectors is nothing short of theft. You can sugar coat it all you want. There is no justification for removing these skill points, if they cannot be re-tasked for other skills.
You wonder why your retention rate for new players is bottoming out. Poorly thought out plans.

You are technically correct, however i’d wager since you get to keep the sp (just lose access to those skills while alpha) that they don’t even remotely see it that way. They would be technically incorrect though. Specifically if you’ve never subbed, and never had any intention of subbing. In that case it is clearly fraud and nearly theft.
Good luck with that argument though.
It needed a buff, so did the ishtar. Though they’ll likely be nerfed now.
