Alright, it is unfortunately expected that the retired Linux launcher is no longer working with the new UI version. 
It was even surprising that it was still working in the last few months.
@Fotis Great to hear, that the Steam version is working for you now.
@Anderson_Geten Have you tried the Steam version as well?
