Ok, all you filthy miners, explorers, PvErs and PvPers, upload your before and after shots of your dirtiest ship and let us see how long you’ve forgotten where the “clean ship” button is. Above is an example of my Buzzard after a few months of exploring.

I have a toon with an Executioner that has been sitting in a station in Serpentis space since shortly after his birth in 2006. That’s probably the longest-untouched ship among all my toons. But I had some other ships sitting in stations from that time on a different toon, and when I finally decide to go collect them, they weren’t dirty at all. I think the dirt might only get applied to ships assembled after the dirt update.

This thread reminds me of what I saw when I undocked my Basilisk earlier today. It really could use a nice clearing.
Or maybe I’ll just wait until I need to buy a fresh one.

Didn’t check all my ships but this Angel Cartel Machariel Battleship -w- Deathglow Hunters skin had so much dirt on it could barely see the skull face on it.

lol, no that ship has only seen a few missions, I mainly fly T3 Cruiser and smaller hull class ships.
But if you thought that ship was dirty, check out my Minmatar Industrial Wreathe ship with Nefantar skin.

IIRC, even if they sit docked up, they can still collect dirt and grime

They come pre built with a thick layer of dirty rust

That’s a protective oxidisation layer.

Minmitar armor reps are oxygen generators to Oxidise the hull to make it stronger and repair damage

Yeah, most Minmatar ships already look dirty due to their natural rust coating, we always trust the rust. However you can really see the dirt with certain ship skins. Take for instance my Minmatar Scythe Cruiser with Biosecurity Responders skin.
