The ideal, should be that an L1 pocket drops 1 L2 filament, a L2 pocket drops one L3 filament, etc, till an L5 drops no filament.
Thus the Trig pocket progression remains rational, and the L1 filament market remains in demand, rather than players generating exponential additional amounts of filaments from running L2-L5 pockets, and never have to buy an L1 again.
IF filament drops remain at the rate they are on SiSi, (as intended for launch) I suggest CCP consider allowing converting a filament into a mutaplasmid of equivalent Level. Such that a L2 filament turns into a L2 mutaplasmid, and a L3 filament into a L3 mutaplasmid, and so forth.
I much prefer the previous, that the pocket filament drops are progressive (as in traditional escalations), so you run the pockets in sequence, with one filament to the next pocket from each., but just putting this out there in case CCP is already dead-set on the filament drop rates as they are on SiSi.
Neuting amount can be too high sometimes and getting zaped by trig bss anywhere within 60km of them feels forced into sniping/cheesing
On other hand vedmak cruiser group forced away from kiting and sniping by getting under long range guns/out running drones and forcing you to fit a heavy tank
As expected from you, terrible idea through and through.
A L1 should drop enough L1 for you to indeed have your content “in-demand”, at least 2 T1 filaments, and higher levels should provide enough of the lower levels for one to get the content he wants for the day.
This content is supposed to be the “short-session” content CCP advertised, it would be counter-productive and detrimental to the game to prevent someone from running a pocket if he has 30 minutes to kill just because you are afraid of null-sec.
It is not rational that a single L1 filament should lead to more than one L2 filament, nor an L2 pocket to more than one L3 filament.
The result of that happening would be L1 filament market collapse, and people generating more and more progressive filaments the more L2+ pockets they run.
THAT IS WHY THE DROP RATE IS TOO HIGH.
Currently on SiSi as reported here, you get almost 3x the filaments you need to start the Trig Pocket chains.
until you haven proven it, “rational” has no sense in your sentence, so you are effectively saying you consider that only your taste is “rational”.
There could totally be a reason why filament drop at this rate. What SHOULD and SHOULD NOT happen is to CCP’s taste, they are not here to make the game fulfill everybody’s rational point of view.
eg maybe they want people (alphas) to farm F1 . I don’t see why the F1 cost SHOULD be low.
Just because you don’t understand it does not mean it’s not “rational”.
I hope this helps you understand how much more rational a linear filament drop rate system is, than one in which you end up with more filaments of ANY tiers than you started out with.
Frankly, Im quite concerned I have to draw a diagram so that some people “get it”.
This should be elementary and everyone should see the repercussions of their own cognizance, without requiring this.
Use your brains, and think before you react/post.
The Tree model will almost entirely kill the Alpha market for providing L1 filaments.
You have this all ass backwards.
Seriously try to understand what I am saying before reacting like a kid caught butt naked.
It really is annoying to have to deal with this level of childness.
I used my brain, it tells me you are not able to explain why it is not rational, thus you are lying .
The reality of more than one filament, of any tier, from any pocket, leads to the Tree model.
Trig pockets should be linear.
When you complete L1, you get a L2 filament.
When you complete that L2 pocket, you get a L3 filament.
And so forth, till you complete the L5, and receive no further filament.
Then you source a L1 filament, and start all over again.
I think CCP wants filaments to be available in massive numbers and dirt cheap. Also people who will get few more filaments couuld save some for later. They really want these sites to be available, and the hard ones too. Farming, farmers paradise.
This depends on the L1 drop rate from data cans in exploration.
But it does NOT mean that Trig pockets should produce more than 1 filament of any type, except so as to access the next tier of Trig pocket, after that.
If Trig pockets spew out filaments as they do now on SiSi, it will be a disaster.
Hello and thank you for this kind attention. However I don’t really care about being banned from those forums, and what’s more I don’t want no harm to Salvos. I only report someone when he is actively trying to hurt/force people, which he does not at the moment.
The funny/sad part is that I totally agree with that making Fx drop more Fy<x seems a bad design. The only part I disagree is the “rational” part of his post.
But again, thank you very much.
Well, if the F1 are not used because the loot is not worth it, then why even create them ?
The idea is that every filament must have a use, and that the cost of providing a mutaplasmid gravid/unstable must take into account the price to run through the previous levels.
They can run L3 if they either buy them from others, or source it themselves.
The problem here, is that Trig pockets drop so many filaments, that L1 becomes redudant, as someone can generate/loot indefinite amounts of filaments as they run the pockets.
Its fking stupid, and defeats the purpose.
The progression should be linear, as are escalations. When you complete the pocket, you get 1 filament to the next level.
If the “Tree” model occurs, it will wreck any potential future filament market, as they are constantly generated by a multitude of filament drops in each Trig pocket.
At the current rate on SiSi, we are talking about 3 filaments per pocket.
Now extrapolate that to hundreds/thousands of players generating x3 more filaments than they put in.
The market will be absolutely flooded with filaments as a result, and who would buy them, when they can get 3 filaments themselves for the cost/effort of just one.
That makes no sense.
What does make sense, is you get ONE filament from a pocket, that allows you to run the next level of Trig pocket, or sell it to someone else that wants to.
Except a good chunk of the content (the actual “dungeons” and mutaplasmids) will be available to alphas. Triglavian ships & Weapons might get the most publicity, but they’re not the most important bits of the expac. =)
