[Discussion] Community Safety in EVE Online

I’d like to suggest giving the ability of a player to turn off chat in local. Abusive behavior is not only coming from the hunter but, also the hunted.

Ok so has there been any proof of anything or not?

If not

As long as that does not apply to potentially criminal real life activities, sure.

Of course not , any real criminal act should alway be reported to the right authorities . i think many countries deal with cybercrimes much better these days.

Im sure the hard part in all this is , cultural differences and different laws we all live under and what is socially acceptable behaviour.

Thats the price of playing a game that spans the globe, but the benefits sure outweigh the disadvantages ,meet new people and learning about them is the great part , lets not forget that

Cool video

Are we not free to speak our minds?

“Open Minds”… Why would this be hidden?

For one, CCP could stop the “mob control” over the forums.

From the game that literally encourages being an asshole to fellow players (ganking, stealing, looting, scamming, griefing) it’s quite rich to see this post. Pot meet Kettle.

What are you basing this assertion on?

Sandbox: the player is not constrained to achieving specific goals and has a large degree of freedom to explore, interact with, or modify the game environment

Site the encouragement you speak of…

Playing experience from the last 7-8 years, also and the things I mentioned. If you don’t stop/ban and activity in game, its encouraged IMO. Like ganking, greifing, scamming, stealing, multiboxing etc.

I agree. They are making very positive changes on the Chinese server, and I see no reason for them to not be implemented here as well.

Once again, China seems to be a pioneer in the field of social harmony and respect for a dignified human existence, and the rest of the world is having to play catch-up to its golden standard.

The irony of you making this sardonic quip is it’s actually true.

I disagree. If I tell my kids they can do whatever they want while I’m away, I’m not encouraging them to do bad things. I’m offering them the chance to do good things without me having to tell them to.

You are choosing the “glass half empty” approach IMO.

First part is inline with my upvote, the second paragraph I wouldn’t agree.

You say forced labour camps are bad for your health? :no_mouth:

Always with the negative waves, Moriarty. - YouTube22.flv - YouTube

On the contrary that is a positive thought because under the banner of INGSOC we will achieve victory, for our cause is just, thus We Will Prevail. Such a beautiful thought.
