Nope, I don’t care about them. And any of that stuff that matters could be implemented just fine as normal industry items, it doesn’t have to drop from NPC kills.
Wait, what happened to the idea that PvE is a play style by itself? Are you now admitting that PvE itself is meaningless and unappealing, and only has a reason to exist when it funds more interesting things?
People grinding PvE form the base of the player driven economy.
Only when they go on to do other things with their ISK. Pure PvE players have very little economic relevance because they just hoard their ISK. Once they get out of the newbie stage and finish building their farming ship they have nothing left to buy except for an occasional ammo purchase.
The amount of people that engage in it on a daily basis suggests you are wrong.
It really doesn’t. It suggests that CCP has an incentive to sacrifice quality for milking the PvE cash cow, it doesn’t mean that these players add any value to the game from the point of view of other players.
Have you ever used a meta module in a fit for a ship?
See above. Any modules that are necessary for balance reasons could simply be moved over to the player industry system.
The Implications of Niarja’s hellcamping by TEST and Fraternity ?
So after not showing up “on time” (hmm is that a pattern ?) to keep Niarja from being flipped TEST has decided now to shoot anything that moves in Niarja.
Must be an “ISK for Ravens” program. Yes, wars are expensive. Go for it, guys ! Keep killing the rookies. You’re doing great work for the mighty blue donut and its noble cause
To be fair its not “Test” or any other big players. Niarja is full of people seizing the opportunity to profit from the Fall of the system. A mixed and wild bunch of players. There are other different gangs operating aswell. Everyone wants a piece of the juicy victims autppiloting their Orcas and Freighters through the system. Meanwhile fights between the different gangs spice the things up.
3 jumps from Hakeri, Gedugaud positioned in Brazingnet, Outside the Panorad system of stars but still a pipe system from our local cluster. Is that definitive enough for ya?
It was kinda sarcastic, and yes I have 2 freighters, 3 if you count the Ark. Unfortunate timing that the 2 freighters happened to be in Amarr when Niarja was taken. On the bright side the path from Amarr to Jita now basically hits all 4 trade hubs, good opportunities if you have alts in the right places to do a little shopping while you make the journey.
i not going to lie
i prefer niarja being HS , i like jita being close to amarr by HS
but I’m having so much fun exploiting the situation that sometimes i kinda forget
One thing I think this will increase: the use of the tech 2 transport ships like the Mastodon (using the MWD/Improved Cloak trick), the Prowler, and the nimble version of the tech 1 industrial transport ships, like the Wreathe (using the MWD/Improved Cloak trick. Also, in theory one can use that trick with an Orca. I’M not going to throw a Bowhead or Fenrir into those systems.
And professional gate camper stomper teams may become a fun pvp opportunity.
In WW1 the US finally figured out that you go through the German Wolf Packs in convoys with warship escorts.
Pretty pictures as food for thought, the result of Niarja’s flip. “Much fun” is had by “all”, especially blue donutters, who seem to enjoy their moral support from the triglavian npcs.
The number of jumps into/out of the system has roughly dropped to 1/3 since the invasion on 17th through 18th. The number of ship kills has at least tripled compared to pre-invasion, while the pod kills, previously unimportant, have skyrocketed as expected.
Sadly, the use of cyno’s and interesting weapons are forbidden in this piece of nullified highsec, sad, very sad eh ? Naughtyboys TEST and lately the Siberian Squads love shooting fish in a barrel, or is it dynamite fishing in a barrel, their version of the puppy woodchipper. Who would have thunk.
