Are all three slots on your main in the same corp?
Right but the vacuum left by those nerfs created another imbalance, the economy.
I mean wardecs were opt-in and always were. So they were, and are still, totally avoidable too.
Yes, because that is how I like to play. They are in different areas, doing different things, but same corporation.
Ok, so you lose one option to avoid facing deccers, but open another.
Unless your WTs are in all areas you choose to be too.
They were not opt in. The only way to avoid them completely was to spend oneās life in an NPC corporation. That is not my definition of āopt inā.
No point refighting these old arguments anyway. Bottom line - CCP are taking a big risk with the game. Maybe they will get away with it. But given how they have wittered on for years about trying to increase player retention, they have a daft way of going about it. Say Niarja goes - it may or may not lose them subscriptions from all the disgruntled carebears you are criticising. But does anyone honestly think it will GAIN them subscriptions?
This has been untrue since Structures and Wardecs were tied together.
I agree now, which is why I no longer have any issue with war declarations, and why I used the perfect tense. I understood the comment made by @Daichi_Yamato about āhigh sec PvP being nukedā to be a reference to the old, unreformed war declaration system.
Fair dos. Didnt spot the qualifier.
In all honesty, I dont think they care. Im starting to believe what they have planned is not for Bear, Ganker or Multiskilled Industry Superstar like me n a few others here.
It is for Mr Whale, I think EvE Echoes is showing us who this game is being paved over to please.
I sadly think you and I are in complete agreement here. (Not sad about agreeing with you, just sad at that over which we are in agreement!)
The only reason thatās the case is because youāve always regarded wars from the perspective of the prey/victim.
If you actually started going against the aggressors on your own terms by acting like a predator, and forcing fights on them when they werenāt looking for any, youād have a different viewpoint and experience.
Heck even if you run, it can be hilarious.
Just go into low or a wh.
Wardecs mean nothing there lol.
Only because you have/had the helpless perma-victim mindset, where the response to an āunfairā fight is to dock up and whine instead of figuring out a way to make the fight unfair in your favor.
Look, I am a solo player with zero interest in PvP. I am not whining, and did not whine. I paid my subscription and thus, in my own little way, helped support this game, which, the rest of the time, I enjoyed thoroughly. CCP changed the mechanism, and the problem went away. Please, you do not know me, do not call me a perma-victim. And donāt tell me I am playing Eve wrong either. I am playing it my way, and am happy playing it my way.
Anyway, none of this is relevant to the threadās central tenet about consequences should Niarja fall.
Then, serious question, why are you playing EVE at all? How were you involved in a war if you were solo?
CCP changed the mechanism, and the problem went away.
Only by seriously damaging the rest of the game.
Please, you do not know me, do not call me a perma-victim.
I know all I need from your own words admitting to being a useless perma-victim.
I am playing it my way, and am happy playing it my way.
Only because CCP pandered to helpless perma-victims like you at the expense of legitimate PvE players and handed you near-perfect safety in highsec so you wouldnāt ever have to have your farming disrupted.
I was involved in a war because I was routinely war decāed by the war decāing corps, as were many others. The change to war declarations did far less damage to the game than the current Triglavian rubbish. What does ālegitimate PvEā have to do with war declarations, which are PvP? What exactly do I farm? Where? You do not know, but just fling around childish insults. Bless.
Have a pleasant evening, my friend.
Instead of just throwing āyou donāt know meā around, provide some actual details. As in, what you did/do in the game, who declared war on you, how big your corporation was, etc. Then we can evaluate your stance with a greater degree of objectivity.
And if youāre not willing to do that, but are willing to post about how wars made you stop playing the game until they ended, then yeah, weāre going to call you a whiner.
How? You were a solo player so you had zero reason to be in a war-eligible player corp. And even if, for some reason, you felt compelled to make a one-man corp for yourself you could instantly disband it and make a new one before the war could begin. It was literally impossible to keep a war active against a solo player who did not want to participate in a war.
The change to war declarations did far less damage to the game than the current Triglavian rubbish.

What does ālegitimate PvEā have to do with war declarations, which are PvP?
Legitimate PvE players are the PvE players who understand that EVEās mining/industry/etc side is a game of competitive capitalism where other players are rivals and threats to your income. They are the players who, when a war is declared against them, continue operations as normal because they know how to win a war. Those players hate people like you and your opposition to PvP because when CCP panders to you by making PvE easier it makes PvE less profitable.
Hates such a strong word.
Especially in comparsion to how I feel about humanity in general.
Hate? Hate? Grow up, it is a game. If you are hating someone in a game, stop playing it now and seek help. Seriously.
Your definition there of PvE is actually of PvP. You do not understand my style of gameplay, or what I want out of Eve. You only understand your style and what you want. I am not saying your style is not valid, but do not dare say that mine is not either.
It is not worth engaging with you any more. Good night.
