I absolutely do not want drama. CCP has increased prices by 30% and that is a dramatic increase. I didn’t ask for this. So give me a break

“Bait and switch” advertising is grounds for an action of common-law fraud, unjust enrichment, and sometimes breach of contract. A “bait and switch” is also a violation of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

It’s pretty simple. The game isn’t even worth $5 a month, much less $20 and asking for $20 a month after years of no new content and worse, taking customers for idiots, is not only an insult, it’s a slap in the face.

It’s not about being forced to play, it’s about the ridiculous fee CCP is aking.
If the fee if ridiculous then don’t pay/play. Again, it’s your choice. I like Big Mac hamburgers but not at the price they are now so I now only have one every year or two. Same thing.

but yeah instead of all just complaining, be sure you cancel your sub, play for free or leave and let the richboy club pay even 30 or 40 for a month per char and its fine and see if eve will survive it if all who said it stop for good now

I don’t personally care whether it survives or not, it’s just a game to me. I thought it was ballsy to ask for 33% price hike when all they been doing is giving the shaft to the players, lord only knows how many playstyles they’ve killed with their asinine changes but they expect the players to step up to the plate now as if everything was fine with EVE, as if EVE was the best of the best of MMO’s and, newsflash, it isn’t, not even close.

Eve Online by far is the best space and vast universe MMO without a doubt. And yes I have tried the others, I have spent real money on the others. If you think there is a better one, you are wrong.
The price increase for one month is steep. Maybe it is an option CCP doesn’t want players to buy, it was only set to set the Plex in-game cost. Maybe the new strategy is to sell more packs that have 7, 14, and 21 days of Omega and if you buy a few packs of items you get a couple of months of Omega anyhow.
I would like to see more Alpha / Omega separation. I would like to see the crackdown on the Alpha account multi-boxing, and basically making the Alpha a frigate account only. With the Expert system in place now, I think this could be accomplished. You want to try a little more it cost you a little more.
I am not being mean to the Alpha players, but nothing in life is free, you either want to pay for it or you don’t. If you have access to a PC of any type that can play the game with the Internet at your house, you can afford Eve Online.
I want the Eve Servers to stay alive. But I don’t care if there are 50K people filling up space or 7,800 and we all claim our own system. I enjoy playing Eve, I don’t play to make enough isk to Omega my account, I pay for Omega. If I am completely broke I will spend $50 on plex for some extra isk.
I am excited about the fan fest, I believe there are some great things ahead. Do I think CCP could have delivered this differently? Maybe, but I think CCP being transparent with us all is getting ZERO credit today. A lot of companies would try and smooth this over, and I appreciate them coming out and outlying what we should expect in the future as we all cry here.

I hate being “that guy”, as I hold you in high respect, but:
- I’m currently working for a hosting provider (HostKey.com) and I know how pressing are electricity costs for datacenters as of late.
- All the costs associated with product delivery are always on the shoulders of the final consumer. Unless they are covered by somebody else (usually government).
Back from #2 to #1, private consumer electricity costs are either sponsored by government, or paid by charging extra from enterprise consumers. Or both. So whatever price increase you as a private consumer might see, is a tenth of what business endure.
And I do not want to drag politics into this thread, so please add the reasons and conclusions yourself.
When you write, “…sponsored by government…” do you mean subsidized?
I did read the line @Teckos_Pech and I didn’t take it out of context. You directly said they were morons, it was directly a personal attack and I called you out for it. And if someone one would have said the same for the Fireside Chat I would have done the same thing. People put time and effort into trying to convey a message in Eve news, right or wrong I appreciate that.
To help you out in the future maybe you can say, TiS has a very skewed view, or they have opinions I simply don’t agree with and this is why. This will help hold a little more validity to your comments.
