Okay, cool. Not sure how it works in the UK where the CCP servers are, but here in the US residential electricity consumption is not generally subsidized by non-residential (commercial/industrial) usage. In fact, depending on the size the average rates for some commercial/industrial consumers is lower than residential rates. Maybe somebody in the UK has more knowledge of rate setting there…

Already unsubbed all of my accounts. Unlike you, who plays for free. I actually had skin in the game about the subscription costs. Im unsure as to why you feel the need to white knight in this thread about a cost you yourself dont even incure. Quite simply it doesnt effect you so you dont care. So youre content telling those of us it does effect to be fine about it

The difference is that residential energy rates here are capped by Ofgen (the regulator), though there has been a massive increase in that cap as of the beginning of this financial year, whilst business energy rates are not capped. How that affects individual businesses obviously varies greatly, depending on what energy sources they use and what percentage it represents of their overall costs.

Wrong or right, that babbling BS you call a post isn’t going incite me to spend a dime on EVE and obviously lots of other players agree with me. It’s too expensive for what it is.

Dear CCP Games, thanks for the 12 Years of Eve Online, it was Fun and a nice Time to play!
I have 3 Accounts and it was hard to pay 15€ each Month but TWENTY Euros each Char now? Wow, thats a absolutely No Go for me, im early retired, have not much Money and was happy about able to get the 3 Times 15€ each Month to play!
I started to play Asteroid Mining to buy me Plex for Playtime and it was damn hard Work for me every Month BUT i liked it to do it!
Now with that Pricepolitic in Monthly Subscribtion or the high Prices for Plex it is not longer possible to play for me!
To be honest, i dont know even ONE GAME who got that big monthly Price!
Lot of my Friends will stop playing too after more then 15 Years!

that is the spirit we want that is the dream costumer of ccp.totaly agree with you they should rly raise the monthly sub more, also with all the scarcity and low income edem store should sell ships and other items , i am sure everybody got their credit card on their teeth w8 for that .

That was your choice. Mine was to use another option provided by CCP and play the same game as you. And yes, people’s opinions and actions on this do effect me so I will use the voice I’m allowed to use.
If a player who loves eve for such a long time and plays it is open to leaving it. Ask for a new incomer to pay 20$ a month for an online game which is going to take months to start enjoying. It’s just showing that it couldn’t work.
For that amount, you pay a subscription to have hundreds of games available. You cannot ask about this increase and justify that “it’s the inflation” when for less than that, you can access to PlayStation plus or for even less the Microsoft Ultimate.

In my trying to help you CCP, you should at least consider multi accounts in the discount. Threat them like playing multiple months.
So if you have 3 accounts, is like you are paying for 3 months. So if I buy 3 accounts for 4 months, is the same as 1 account for 1 year.

Based on what little research I’ve done, I don’t think CCP’s bottom line is going to improve from this, rather, due to dropped subs, they might be making a net loss. I understand that most things in the world have gone up in prize and that videogames are no exception. However, being that EVE is heavily dependent on alts, I just cannot approve an increase of 5 bucks times the number of accounts you had subbed. Mining pretty much requires multiple accounts to be on par as compared to other forms of krabbing, you need alts for scouting, sabres, tackle, capitals etc.
Moreover, introducing this price change after two years of scarcity and then trying to pedal those changes back because you finally realized that dread warfare and battleship doctrines had become unfeasible, it all just shows a lack of direction, combined with bottomless arrogance.

It’s CCP who’s supposed to thank you. Thanks to you they’ll keep the lights on.
It isn’t the best of options, but play with two characters, so you at least don’t have to leave the game altogether and leave behind years of progress and work. You could sell the other character and transfer him/her away for a little isk, or hold on for maybe better times / Omega sells that will come in the future.
