After 7 magnificent and intense years of play, I have the feeling tonight of being taken for a cash cow by CCP. This observation does not please me, but I see that it is shared.
Raising a price so quickly and suddenly, almost hiding it, and bringing nothing in the face that justifies this increase, you had to dare. They did it. Thanks CCP.
So I canceled the subscription for my two accounts, starting tonight.
Itâs out of the question for me to play in an alpha account, with a Thrasher at the Jita dedock.
Blizzard had a rotten policy. I quitted after 15 years.
CCP takes the same direction, and above all pretends not to see.
I will not become a bitter vet for all that.
But there, really, CCP⌠above is the sun!

Scarcity, industry changes and the long since ongoing promotion of instanced pve in the abyss has led to a continuous drain of players.
Understandably CCP needs to milk those customers who have not yet left the game even harder to keep shareholders content .

I feel bad for CCP Swift, again he has been put on the chopping block. Maybe bad news like this should be done by Hillmar so he can be on the receiving end of our frustration directly.
This price increase is ridiculous, unjustified and will cause more harm to the game. Take back the change and stop letting greed ruin you. There are many other ways to make money which the CSM, Meta Show and loads of people on reddit & even in this thread have said for years. Skins not subs. Making people choose between gas for the car or a subscription for a game and you will lose.

Even the old Omega price was too high, and it was so since the beginnings of EVE. Since then CCP was limiting the posibilities of ISK making in-game and increasing the item consume through the game mechanics. I was assuming CCP was putting capital aside since then. But now it sounds like theyâre running completely dry on liquidity⌠a proof of very poor finance management or corruption.

In the last year CCP has made changes, many unasked for, and ignored valid reasonings to revert or at least make many of the changes optional; then killing markets and driving away targeted player basses - and now this.
Your justifications to be raising prices were invented with your own backlog of poor decisions and lack of foresight.
TLDR: Yeah, no. Buh bye.

With inflation rising, do you think a 35% cost increase is a good idea? When people can barely feed their families, the first thing to go is discretionary spending. Good luck with the Netflix model of economics.

No. Thereâs very little governments can do about the current inflation, which is a result of energy price spikes and continuing supply-chain lag. Basically everywhere but Texas is already doing everything they can to get out of the way of letting global commerce get back on track, but the current inflation is an inevitable result of the disruptions caused by the pandemic meeting the resurgent demand as things try to get restarted, combined with the energy uncertainty in the wake of certain moves being made in eastern Europe.
Ironically, if people were to just back off and hold to the consumer belt-tightening of 2020-21 and only slowly ease their way back into the hyperconsumerist economic model of the beforetimes, the supply side could catch up and inflation would subside.

Incompetent people ruling over the world and economy ends like that. Change is needed urgently. We need a global revolution that will remove all governments and install engineers that make AI drones that will work for you, so you dont have to work again, only play EVE for free.

This is what happens when you try to screw the most intelligent gaming community on the planet, and they think itâs going to go well. I logged in hours ago to play Eve but still have not gotten off Reddit or the forums. â â â â going crazy everywhere, never seen a backlash like this. This actually may be the true end of Eve, all I can truly say is WOW* just WOW! (*not the bloody game)

no new content would legitimate 30% price increase on a high price already.
After all new content is to pull more new players into the game
CCP has played this game before. They will say âwe heard youâ and will only raise the price by 15%. Then everybody will be happy, only getting screwed by 15%.
