GG for another round of unsubs!! Great way to make this game amazing. If you want more players in your game maybe make the game cheaper to play? Its hard enough for new players to get into the game and stick with it but then you jack up the price and for the money you are just going to push the newer players out that much more.
And the price jack up is for what? The cost of balancing? The cost of taking away aspects of the game to realize mistakes have been made so hold on let me just give it back to you? Anyways, bye!

Or, you know, sell corp and alliance SKINs—even just the ability to overlay those logos, which already exist as in-game art assets in a form CCP owns as part of their IP. Sell structure SKINs. Do any of the things quite a lot of us have been telling them for years that we would happily throw buttloads of money at them for.
So no, it’s not quite as binary as you seem to think.

You have to add the caveat of good looking skins and cosmetics, because that’s not something they’ve managed to accomplish yet.
They are even worse.
I’m going to unsub 2 accounts for sure i can’t pay 40$ a month for 2 accounts and one account isn’t enough for the game play i like this is a idiot move take it back before players find a new game they get hooked on.
youve played a month. think how us who have played 15 years and have had no content for 2 years…

They’re doing both, that’s the issue.
I don’t think EVE is profitable enough for the board any more so they’re going to squeeze it dry now before everyone leaves.

If you’re short on revenue, you should increase the size of your player base to increase long-term stable revenue streams, not short-term revenue growth by raising the subscription price to the price of a new game, which will only deter new players from entering EVE, and old players will gradually fade out of EVE due to the burden of multiple accounts.

i’d add additional stuff eg ‘manouvers’ - that wouldnt change the position of a ship but would make ship do weird things - eg ‘barrel roll’ or ‘fly “upsidedown”’
