I have played this game off and on for years, but knowing the price is going up to $20 a month means I will be done with this game for good. The free account sucks, and Omega does not provide $20 of value. And given the game is played sporadically I wonât ever by more time to get a discount. I think I will have to agree this was an ill-planned move and you should have done some serious focus group testing before pulling this trigger and shooting yourself in the one good foot you had left.

Omega purchasable for ISK. No wonder no more money comes in.
Alpha accounts have also made the game extremely bad.
In addition, EvE has developed into an absolute â â â â â â â â game in recent years.
This game has become a platform for peopleâs worst qualities. And these qualities are even promoted instead of creating a ballance that also offers an acceptable platform for âanti assholesâ.
The game needs massive changes that many players will not like. But this is necessary to keep the game alive and to get more player numbers to fund the game.
As with everything in life, the right balance is required.
Without an appealing platform for casual gamers, every game dies.
EvE has to develop in a different direction otherwise it will perish.
This is my personal opinion and requires no response.

Right, because a hard currency would totally have circumvented all of the supply-chain issues stemming from a combination of needing to reduce the number of people in close proximity in the workplace, demand falloffs, the inherent dangers of locking yourself onto a floating petri dish for months on end to move freight across the PacificâŚ

Everything gets effected. And itâs not just oil thatâs the culprit.
The game has been around for nearly 20 years. AFASIK this is the first corporate price hike in that time. Pretty darn good record.
What other product or service costs the same today as it did 20 years ago? 
Iâm not defending CCP, Iâm bringing a sense of reality.
I mean maybe lucky coincidence, but humble bundle just has the X games bundle for sale with x4 and one of the dlcâs for the low low price of just 16.99 just once.

Okay CCP, letâs sit down and have a talk.
The last few years youâve done something that no other MMO has done: youâve shut everything down, given the player less to do and driven the industry into the wall at full speed. There are less people in space, less ISK going through hands and less goals to work on.
Had there been other ways to overcome the overhealting ecconomy YES no doubt, but you would have had to really put in development work and removing things is easier than creating new things as we all know.
So overall over the last two years there is LESS content than before.
The last few months on your Road to Fanfest youâve done some things that the players have been asking for a really long time.
âYes this is going in the right directionâ was heard everywhere, but there is no real cheering. Why? Because these are problems that you have caused yourselves and there is nothing more than an âokayâ for cleaning up your own â â â â .
If you really want another âReal great jobâ, then you have to do something great, like something NEW.
Now here in your price âupdateâ it says âThe new prices on Omega include all upcoming content releases for the gameâŚâ.
What kind of content are you talking about here? More scarcity? More things no one wants? So far this year you havenât shown us anything new, youâre just FINALLY doing some(!) of the things weâve been telling you for years!
With this price âupdateâ eve will be the most expensive MMO out there. Itâs also nothing to compensate for inflation or anything like that, then you would increase by 5% maybe 10% not 33%.
If the game would be in a great state and they realy would be any really good âupcomming contantâ on the way, I would say okay, you guys are doing something to the game.
But as long as Rattati is talking about âhealthy economieâ, while everything is going down the drain, the players seem to be your only QA and all your own ideas are only taking this game further into â â â â , a 33% price increase is nothing more than a gigant impertinence.
Do something right for once, listen to your players FIX THE ECONOMEY (for real, not just in Rattiâs head) and THEN we can talk about more money. Before that, you should be prepared to get less money this way, not more.

Good thing I purchased a year ahead of time and am locked in until April 2023. An increase of $2 per month for a yearly plan after that isnât a big deal and its competitive with other MMOs that offer far less.

Wow, I think this is a too big price increase. 9,99 is fine, 14,95 is ok, but 19,99 is to much. I will be unsubscribing at least 10 of my 12 accounts. Yeez this is a bad change.

I really like X4 time to put some real time in it and maybe mod it a bit like X3 back in the day⌠and as far as the AI goes in X4 compared to Eve. Well, it is better than the mining and ratting bots we have in Eve now that may as well be NPCs with no AI.
