Disappointing.
I have no clue in what project that isnât EVE you are investing nowadays.
Your lack of investment into your premier game EVE Online & your repeated failure to judge your player base interest correctly & the looming eyes of your investors have led you to this step.
As you probably collect from the thread is that your player base has no understanding on what basis a price increase was a sensible thing to do in the moment.

This is very poorly timed.
Scarcity and the industry changes have brought the games activity to the brink of death. We just now get some reprieve to these abhorrently bad design changes that have ruined the game, but before they have been given a chance to take effect this major price gouge in subscription is occurring.
Design team - WE MUST DO THIS REEEE (because we have a failed vision and understanding of the game)
Market/Budget Team - WE MUST DO THIS REEE (to keep the lights on)
A reckoning is brewing and the game will suffer because of your own actions CCP,
For anyone not aware EVE-Offline :: EVE-Online Status monitor exists and we can see the player login counts. take a look at the timescales of like 1Y 5Y and all time to get a grasp of how bad the login counts are getting. Or here is a clip I took a while ago.
there is likely a data correlation between active subs and MTX purchases with this.
Overall the health of the game is extremely bad, I donât expect a rate hike to do it any better, this might just be the undoing of EVE Online.

I would like to thank you for helping me with a hard decision, 3 accounts $14.95 a month, total $44.85⌠updated increase of $5 an account $15⌠so your account goes from $44.85 to $59.85âŚ
Well it would usually but in this case your $15 (which would have been me subbing my 4th account again in the summer as I had planned and made you that money) has resulted in a loss of $44.85 for you⌠thats not a great way of working with people. I think Iâll look to spend some of my $44.85 elsewhere a month⌠enlisted forever.

This would require ANY SORT OF DEVOLPMENT from CCP and they havent released a single patch in 3 years that actually improves the game, all theyâve done is try and kill half the player base off (Miners) and now they are intent on killing off therest of you so quite frankly you made a dumb statement and my question to you is this, why are you trying to hold water for these clowns?

This game is no longer worth 14.95 a month and you want to raise it to 19.95??? CCP you need to go back to your roots, reflect on your beginnings. This game was to ever be âselfâ evolving and âyouâ were to create new and âinterestingâ content over the years to keep it going. Instead of keeping your word on this you decided to tinker with the economics, the game play, the demographics and mechanics until the game today resembles nothing like the game it âwasâ. You promise to fix it, you fail. You promise to bring new content, you fail. No more galactic scale wars, no more vast corporate player empires battling for territory and building empires, driving politics. Whatâs our fun per hour now? About 50% of what it once was and yet you think itâs worth 25% more to play. And donât even get me started on raising PLEX prices, REALLY! A product that cost you nothing to produce or supply! Thereâs an old saying, âStupid is as stupid does.â Need I say more?

Wow CCP, Its like you are actively trying to kill Eve, first all the hated changes you where told not to make and did any way, now backpedalling it off because you finally saw sense, and now in place of pissing off the player base with stupid changes you simply want them to stop playing, haters have been saying eve is dyeing for years, make this change and it will. and this time you wont be able to apologise and undo the damage.
TLDR, Stop being idiots and listen to the players that pay your bills before you all need a new job.

Seriously, the drama over the past month led to a loss of player happiness, and you decided to throw more gasoline on this fire. In this economy. With gas at $6.00 a gallon. Maybe if you didnât do that then you wouldnât be jacking up the price 25%.

Going to unsub half of my accounts. Completely unacceptable and exactly the type of contempt for the committed player-base that weâre used to. If youâre desperate for $$ then give us Alliance ship skins. Seriously, itâs like you donât know how to leverage what you have and keep your Customer happy.

Ok time to close down a few of my accounts then. Cba paying that much or having to farm the crazy amount of isk needed for the new plex prices.

It wouldnât be so bad if we didnât have to pay for multiple accounts and multiple character training. I pay for multiple accounts. Let me train more than one toon on an account at the same time. Give me a little something for the price increase and allow all my characters to train at the same time. I am paid up till August as now. Hope I donât see New Eden fade even more.

Itâs only a 30% price increase for short 1-month subscriptions, not for the packs with multiple months.
In other words, I guess this is aimed at new players who are trying the game and may be gone after a month. CCP has been seen to target those turnover players a lot more lately, with new player packs, fitted Retriever packs and expert systems packs. And now the price increase for Omega.
Bulk discount for Omega is bigger now and with the introduction of the new 24 month subscription pack, players who subscribe for 2 years see only a 3% increase in price. Not 30%.
Iâm not saying I agree with the price increase, just analyzing what I see.

I donât see any reason this will fly. If you need to increase your prices the product needs to be outstanding (which clearly is not yet the case). Considering most paying accounts are multiple accounts this is a super weird move. I will probably consider moving my accounts from subs to what i can afford with ingame isk earnings. Which i think will be more and more worthwhile considering EVE to be probably one of the most expensive games. I mean with 2 accounts you pay 40 a month then which is really more then all other MMOâs i know of since you often donât need multiple accounts on other games. Well atleast -2 paying subs for me

We will also get more benefits included in these increased prices? Itâs long overdue that Omega gets actual benefits for our regular and sustained contributions. Omega exclusive and subscription-included skins are one way to make these price hikes seem less problematic.
