Fully understandable.
It’s been this price since the dark ages even though everything else gets more expensive due to inflation. Yet somehow whiners expect a game to stay the same prices for 2 decades and will whine about it just because it suits them.
Not a fun announcement but one, I feel, has been long overdue.

A sub that costs more than every other MMO really sounds like the right play for getting new blood into the game. Thanks for raising my price without giving me anything new for two years running.

Oh my god, 20 dollars is such a huge amount, a whole hour of work, ok, well, 2-5 hours in poorer countries. And how many whiners, crying here, canceling subscriptions in your favorite game, in which you have been enjoying a cool game for years, decades. What a miserable and miserable people you are… 
I mean… the game is the same so I don’t get why the price should go up.
It’s been overpriced since the dark ages in comparison to all other MMO’s.
CCP also sell a lot more stuff per player now. Skill extractors, skill point packs etc. They’ve now got a lot more revenue streams than they did back in 2010.
Considering that EVE, on paper (see PA financial statements), gets ever more profitable it is not unreasonable to expect that prices for EVE are more than enough to cover all costs and generate plentiful profits. Instead of increasing prices and drive away customers, CCP should introduce more content that brings in people. But we all know that CCP is utterly incapable of doing that.
CCP just announced a 30% savings for 1 month omega. If they needed the price hike of + 30%, they’d not do these special offers. But we all know what’s going to come next. In a month, we will see special offers of -30% to selected omega packs that glorify the old prices as new, super savings.
As a returned player for a month, was about to resub my 2 alts, god i am happy i saw this in time. I would pay the price tag of an AAA title for subs? even for a single acc 20€ a month for a game this old with no major updates, i honestly feel bad for you guys, -3 subs here. good timing tho, alot of good mmo’s out there.

I unsubed 2 of my 4 accounts. But there will be lots of ppl still pay the price and keep the game until it will have his last anniversary. Would be great if an investor will catch up like Amazon or others to take over. Lets see how much ppl play the game after the Fanfest. Cheers have a last party there.
Even with thge crisis like corona and the war it is a bad decision. But CCP seems to have a Masterplan we cant see yet.
If your goal was to kill the game then this is a good way to do it. Recommend CCP not go through with these changes. Highly recommend CCP LOWER the prices instead.
Well this has given me the kick to unsub after not really playing for a while. 3 accounts will expire over the next couple of months, one of which has been subbed since 2003.
Bonkers price increase when this is discretionary spend and people are struggling with RL costs. A smaller increase people wouldve handled I think but this is just madness
And if I may ask, did the CSM agree in general that this was a good choice or bad choice?
Just an FYI, you guys have done EXACTLY what sceptics were saying you were going to. Drive industry through the floor so the isk grind is real, then up prices when people who can’t no life the game have no choice but to pay…but hey, at least WoW are bringing playable dragons out, that’ll be fun
You guys are out of your minds if you think doubling the price of the the monthly sub will not make me unsub most or all of them. Insane.
