[Discussion] PLEX and Omega price changes feedback thread

this news is already affecting the plex prices in game they are at 3.5 mil per a plex.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. If I am not going to do Eve as much anymore I wanted something to escape everyday life with. I do my playing on weekends. Not all day unless a rainy cold one. Still I find plenty of reasons to just zone out at times.

I’ve heard that from TEST members before. :stuck_out_tongue:

But good job trying to equate things that quite a large number of people actively supported and applauded, like f2p and trying something new after years of Dominion Sov being completely solved, with things with majority-negative feedback.

Yep…this is going to be a wild ride until the price change comes into effect.

was a good time …

I have ten accounts that have had for quite some time. At current prices I pay $150 a month for these accounts to play eve. due to the price changes i have canceled 9 of them. It’s not that I cant afford it, I just don’t want to pay $200 a month for a game i can play 1-2 days a week. I think quite a few players will unsub for a similar reason so even with the price change CCP lost $135 to make an extra $5 dollars on me a month.

well i already heard ppl in my alliance that have multiple toons that they are not going to plex all of them, so i figure that probally going to be a wide spread thing meaning less con current players online and less plex in the future bought and sold might take 2 -3 months ibut plex price shoild tank as less ppl plexing

Yeah, I stopped five. Not as many as you, still. I suppose I should just put a sock in it. By now everyone here knows how I feel about it. Just venting,

That’s all anyone is doing here. That’s why CCP made this thread, to give people a pressure valve. Yet you still have loads of posters thinking that posting about unsubbing (or actually unsubbing) is going to change something.

Oh, I already did. I am just enjoying kicking the ā– ā– ā– ā–  out of CCP on every social media platform I can. Grabbing asinine posts like this from here are gold.

I’d rather have them charging more upfront, instead of making the game less fun in order to micro-transact.

If they make more off of subs, do you think that will enable them to improve the quality of content away from the micro-transaction stuff?

Making mining feel profitable again rather than hope poor mining drives people to plex?

I’m all for them making enough money to keep the game alive, if it lives well, and we live well in it.

CCP My official Thoughts:

If want more $$$ you need more clients, and maintain them.

  1. you should make every patch a positive sell there should be not patch that’s sell as a nerf.

  2. fix things in the game Like (ie. ganking BRM, wardec’s, scamming) that are causing players to leave the game.

Two years of scarcity & kidney punched with a chunky price increase … feeling a bit taken advantage of.

Are you raising your price and expecting feedback? You understand that no one will say ā€œFinally a decent price for this product.ā€ Well…let’s go!
Quite strange: you will soon have an offline event, elections to the council, and you increase the subscription price by a third? Of course, I’m not a genius with seven higher educations, but even so I can say: someone will cancel their tickets to Fanfest with the note ā€œ14.99->19.99ā€, and in the elections more votes will be cast for a candidate who or will help you in creating new content (specifically content, not an event or tournament) or affect the price, but we are not fools, and we know that ā€œFor changing the priceā€ you just will not miss the selection of candidates.
And, in conclusion, about myself: I have never paid for an omega in rubles / dollars. Everything was obtained by kicking npc, I will continue to do this until I find a more interesting project or change my computer (in Russia with the current situation LOL) to go to Albion Online, there is something new every year: either a change in the global map, or an analogue of the input, or a new weapon. So… Before I leave, I’ll ā€œgiveā€ my character in compliance with the transfer conditions and leave EVE forever, because all that keeps me in it is the lack of alternatives. But… a complex set of emotions sometimes it’s better to just give up the keyboard and mouse than to get stuck in a unique game.

Well, I did. Not because of emotion. Emotion is the thing I am now doing. Dropping subs was pragmatic. As you say if " it does not change a thing" , then CCP should lose the whole shooting match. When the customer is not longer right, that is what usually happens.

You don’t really need to point out the fact that CCP seems tone deaf most of the time.

I think this is a bonehead move to make in the current economic slump. The whole world feels it. Some countries more than others. I think the UK had it rough before. Now I imagine it will be worse. The whole of Russia is in a shambles. It is not the fault of their citizens either. CCP picking the time to do this now is an indicator that the higher ups live in a bubble. Whoever thought this idea was a good one must not have to worry about their own futures. Or do they?

No, they’re going to keep pushing the micros, too, including the ā€˜selling fitted ships’.

Well, the problem I have with it is an obvious lack of any real drive to actually improve much of anything. They nerfed mining. They made it harder to mine. Unless your in a good corp with a large umbrella, then mining in low sec is not so great. They moved some of the best ore to low sec. Null sec got nerfed. Its now in anomolies. The easiest things to find and warp to. No need to hunt belts when you can go right to the spot. CCP talks about destruction. Its always about how many ships get blown up now. Make the grind harder, then go and lose the ship. Or just pay real world dollars and skip the longer grind.

Pochvin would have been a winner, if they actually put the effort in. But nope, they dropped it. The only thing it really did was make the hauls longer. That is it. I think the Trigs still shoot you, even if you have good standings with them. I doubt CCP ever fixed that bug. I can dock in stations with a toon I let die off. I did the whole Trig invasion support thing, in the hopes that it would open a new world to try out. Did CCP follow through? No. They screwed the pooch. Does CCP ā€œcareā€ Probably not. Will they care that I dropped five of my accounts? No. Giving the dogmatic way that CCP continues to do things. Will I ever resub any of those five? It depends. I dropped them not only for the extra money I now have to pay a year to keep them going, but also I do not see this game lasting more than a year to two at the most. The investment does not look all that great to me. In time and in real money. It was fun. I will miss it. For now I will just do one account, and if money really gets tight around here then its gone to.

This probably isn’t coming directly from CCP. They are given marching orders just like everyone else.

ā€œWe need more money because of inflation, global price trends and blablabla. So we need to raise the monthly price to $20 otherwise we will not be able to work and produce our superduper valuable content. But hey, if you pay for 2 years upfront, $12 per month is magically now perfectly fine for us!ā€

It seems CCP either consider all players idiots or just dont have any plans spanning for 2+ years and go for quick cash.
