Yeah. I got my family and me hooked years ago when PBS brought it to US. But I got quickly unhooked when they started preaching at me.
New college grads and people who donât actually play the game. I canât even imagine how this stinks to those hard into Eve lore. Better to have done this in the portable Eve-ette version.
Itâs all become clear now a drone mothership has picked up a ancient ohio pbs broadcast become obsessed and started creating her drones in the shape of Daleks in a homage to the great BBC show . Will the Dr be able to save New Eden before tea time .
EmbarassingâŚ
THAT is brilliant!
Next comes Rogue Drones meeting the evolved VâGer of Star Trek.
âShip with the wings, there. Five rounds rapid.â
LOL,
Dr Who has 110 million viewers world-wide. Perhaps they might be offering those viewers 1 month omega. Great marketing if that is the goal.
Honestly I donât know how recent that data might be, as it seems that Doctor Whoâs viewership has been tanking for a while.
Even so, it is one of the most popular sci-fi shows, for comparison Syfyâs/Amazonâs Expanse has 700k viewers worldwide. If they can put an advert for Eve in a few Dr Who episodes then itâs some very good marketing.
Like to dislike ratio as reported by the Return Youtube Dislike extension.
Naturally, Reddit is filled with threads of people complaining as well, but Dr. Who fans arenât particularly thrilled either. r/Doctor Who seems to be mostly not care, but the ones who do donât like it.
Sigh. Not the worst thing to ever happen to Eve, but it is an unforced error that undermines confidence in CCP and the direction of the game. Internet spaceships are serious business, and CCP is doing crossovers like this is Fortnite.
Itâs hard out here for a shill.
I just found an article that says that Doctor Whoâs New Yearâs Day special 2021 has had the worst ratings since it rebooted 17 years ago. Pulling 6m less viewers than in 2018.
But yeah compared to expanse the viewership of Doctor Who is enormous. Especially if you consider that Expanse was cancelled at some point and it was revived by Amazon thanks to a massive fan campaign that reached a boatload of signatures (mine included).
I <3 Expanse!
Oh â â â â , this was hilarious!
It made me laugh all over
Expanse is the most realistic scifi story I have ever seen. It seems there now is good money in reviving cancelled shows. All of the Expanse fans would have to get an amazon account so I would expect it to go the full length 6 or 7 seasons. Netflix have also purchased cancelled shows, this is a cool trend which is probably why Netflix and Amazon are at the top of their game. I think Amazon hosts all of Netflix content as well so this is serious money were talking about.
The BBC are very old school, they would have done well to get more american input with production.
Although BBC have produced some good scifi if youâd like to take a look at a show called Outcasts (2011) (starring Ashley Walters). I believe they did team up with americans for this show and I really liked it, such a shame it was cancelled after 1 season. Quick synopsis: Earth has gone through a major catastrophe, another earthlike planet has been found and a series of ships are sent to colonize.
I thought it was a great attempt by the BBC to do something different.
See, now I would be much happier with a My Little Pony crossover than this %^$ British @#$%^&*(@.
The versions of ponies and their capabilities match better with Eve ships. Just saying.
Screw what the CSM say about Zhalyd⌠This guy knows his StuffâŚ
He needs to be voted for next time around.
So CCP is taregetting the 30+ age group?
I imagine the art department will have fun remodelling Rogue Drones for the event.
Dr Who was for its first years produced in a studio many these days would consider a small bedroom.
The Tardis stayed as it has simply because fans liked it.
Unlike CCP the BBC stayed loyal to their audience.
I want a T3 Tardis skin
Bart Simpson as the voice of Aura
Chilli - Like this upcoming event, youâll love it or hate it
But I like MLPâŚ
