Doctor Who event

Good fun for me, but why would that franchise tarnish itself in association with the 80% of ‘less successful with a emotionally adult life’ social flotsam and (especially) jetsam here?!

They’re getting rid of the Scooby Do Team format, unfortunately not in time for Jodie to profit from that change to a FAR better run of scripts, so this should be a time of looking forward to BETTER times, not associating with the shoddy image of Eve Online.

I doubt if any reasonable audience wants to see a series on the ‘normal crowd’ of spreadsheet warrior, social misfits here.

I don’t know. Did you never used to read minerbumping.com?

Projecting huh

Why not? The Accountant was one of the best movies ever made.

I spose that we should be happy that CCP is in the media for something other than announcing cancelled projects.

Dr Who has it’s own poly-technics going on.

I doubt Ill participate in this event. Of those that are hope you enjoy the time spent.

That being said this could not be less EvE inspired as a tie in. Separate universe all together, EvE has such a rich lore to be pulled from this entire theme could have been copy pasted using EvE assets, For real though. Can I have some of what you smoking at CCP HQ.

Rather than fight on behalf of Dr. Who, we should take up arms against the genocidal opressor of the Daleks.
Let us join with our cyborg brothers in their cry of “Dr. Who, Exterminate, EXTERMINATE!”

Maybe this will be possible by ganking the event runners? Hopefully. :smiling_imp:

I bet it will be instanced like the Abyss.

Can’t have these nice, shiney Whovians being ganked now can we, they might not sub.

That does not make it better really.

Just posting to add my disappointment about this event. I utterly dislike crossovers in nearly all cases, as they are simply a cynical exercise in trying to make more money. Dr Who makes zero sense in EVE Online. None whatsoever.

I raised a ticket with support to do the same thing and will also post in the “CSM” area, as suggested by GM who replied to my ticket.

Nothing more to add. Carry on.

The instant that the event is over, any Who-fans who came in will leave – trust me :: I’ve put up with them since I came to London in the 80s, and they know only One True Fandom and Heaven help anyone who says that DW isn’t the greatest thing, not only since sliced bread, but since the trilobites, On the other hand, they will no no idea of how to play EvE and will be sitting waterfowl for any ganker out there and especially organised gank-fleets. Expect the CODE to have a field day

Anime? You think animie would damage the eve brand less than a De.Who side quest? You do realise that 90% of people are repulsed by animie right?

New players would be in corvettes and frigates. Why would there need to be “organized gank fleets” when a single Atron can do the job?

FTFY.

Imagine a for profit company trying to make money. Amazing

That’s a nice opinion you got there. Safety always has a field day. Most New Edeners can’t even play right due to players ruining the game.

Uh. Shonen Jump would like a word ROFL.

Top grossing movies of all time, oh look loads animated movies yet I’m not seeing animie. Anime is a weeb fetish with little following outside Japan despite it’s over representation on the internet, guess what? Basement dwelling weebs post on the net a lot.

sighs with relief Ahh you’re just trolling. Got it

You went a little too hard. You have to make it somewhat believable yennoe?

Except the fact Dr Who is a Time lord with the ability to travel through time and different universes. It’s possible the Tardis could land in a futuristic world where no one dies because they are all cloned. In fact that sounds EXACTLY like Dr Who.

But I wouldn’t expect people to understand this, I bet many who have posted have no clue who Dr Who is.
