Ok. The progression through the Dr Who event steps is a bit more complex and āshepherdedā than other events. Yeah, and itās a monkey wrench into the lore, a bit. But Iām being led to practice the heck out of exploring, hacking, scanning, market selling/buying and, OMG, thinking. And most of my five daughters are Dr Who fans (one has a car sticker that says, āMy Other Car is a Tardisā). Eve actually has enough carebearability to keep a few of them interested, if they could just get past the idea that their old man plays this pile of weird rules and strange activities. Just remember, Eve runs on computers that require $$s to keep operating, so ANYTHING that can get folks to pony up to the payment window is a GOOD thing. Period. If the Wiggles were mapped over the four Eve races and it brought in money, it would be a GOOD thing. Otherwise Eve will eventually go the way of Netrek.

Caracal LS active fit with lights missiles also very good, probably a little less skill intensive than nexor, bc of drones. I used a Moa also for solo T3 but high passive shield xp is imperativeā¦ and gunneryā¦

WTF (What Trolling Forgets)
Doctor What? I was taken aback abit when I saw the Convergence video. This crossover also brings into question what is EVE and what is Out Of Pod. A legitimate argument can be made for and against this Event. Still, there are those who muddy the water insisting on their illegitimate trolling and disruption of our community, this time more than ever randomly just inserting comments into discussions totally irrelevant to what they claim is their concern.
The WHO, the Doctor not the band, topic came up in some of the strangest places where other topics were being discussed. It is fairly easy to tell when someone has not bothered to read the thread and just commented on top of what others are discussing. Itās throwing stones not opening doors to a better game.
The nay saying and trolling boiled over to the point I became keenly interested in the Event. I had to ask myself what would the Doctor do?
I started scanning comfortably tethered to a structures outdoor dinning and repair area. This is something I just got good at in Low Sec though I was not using Scan Probes then just looking for Crokite.
When the EVEnt actually started it proved very popular in fact and EVEn fits in very nicely with the methodology of the Doctor.
#1) There is a lot of running.
#2) The facts are hunted down.
#3) The running stops and a line is drawn. WHO said it best the Doctor or Captain Picard; āThe line must be drawn here and not further.ā?
#4) When the line is crossed then the Doctor responds taking a stand for justice to include all parties.
Thanks to this EVEnt, insane or ingenious on CCPās part, now I am much more proficient in probe scanning down anomalies and hacking. Other peopleās outrage is my money in the bank. Remember, every time someone tweets complaining about Wall Street, Wall Street makes money. WHO would not like a piece of that action for rizzile?

I learned a lot very quickly. I became a better pilot and Low Sec is no longer the boggy man so many fear.
I quite enjoy counting ku on the AI and gankers there. WHO are they to cross into my side of the sandbox if I canāt comfortably cross into thierās?
My own play is to put fun before isk. Like The Doctor I do not walk the garden path, I never will. I play my own game and make my own lore. I appreciate what EVE lore has been written and rumored, except for some audio stories that were not so much science fiction as purial horror.
My own motivations are as enigmatic as the Doctors or the rest of the EVE community from those WHO live under bridges to those who live just to fly high.
Social currency is the real currency in New Eden.
New Eden is no longer a universe, but a multiverse. Any storyline can become a personal methodology, The Muppets invaded Manhattan and are already in New Eden. It always was this way and now Out of Pod is in the pod by example if not officially. The Doctor was never allowed to officially violate Time Lord law or lore, butā¦

I was born and raised in the US & Iām doing good to speak English well. You speak very good English. I donāt think I could learn French. Itās a beautiful language though.

I loved the chance to concentrate on rooms full of cans for the hacking experience. I have become very confident in my ability to hack. Iām also pleased with the rewards that dropped in the room. Iām more than a little thrilled with my dapper suit.
The combat rooms were fun. I had a great time with my buddy running with two cruisers ā¦ and we plan consume more of those filaments during this final week of the event. We had a good time with some problem solving exercises and working out what each of us would do in the room to make it easier.
Neither of us are new to the game at this point. It was still great to have an activity beyond mining to encourage us to actually perform together. Iād love for future events to have rooms for duos to work together.
As for the Dr.Who franchise itself ā¦ it doesnāt really impact the lore of EvE at all. Unless youāre one of those silly folks that are concerned about the presence of a scarf in the grim dark future of New Eden.
