Does the apparel and gear on the NES ever change?

Hello. The apparel available on the ingame NES does not seem to have changed in quite some time. Is this normal?

Be nice to have something other than reclamation goggles and blades headwear to spend plex on. (Do people even buy goggles?)

Yes, from time to time some items are removed then the isk value increases into the hundreds of millions.

People do buy the goggles and then make their character do a pose that makes you wonder if they’re all there in the head, or like Vin Diesel in Pitch Black trying out “smell the fart” acting… which to be fair, for him, would be an improvement.
