Does this part of CCP's post mean battleships will be gone from high sec?

Some minmatar stuff is cool. Like the Thrasher and the Tornado. You could do some really neat stuff with those.

“the empire’s patience with intrusive capsuleers is wearing thin” honestly sounds more like the start of the road to shutting eve down lol. Empires get sick of capsuleers meddling in everything, Yulai Conference occurs and they agree to get rid of capsuleers, CONCORD begrudgingly agrees and capsuleers are no more

And this is what CCP want , on my last return I’m almost shocked at the number of players in npc corps. Don’t be afraid to join together, yes ass hats play this game just as decent players do and after time they will congregate together, try it, make a new character for new year and join a corp , your not going to find the right one straight away but give it a go.

Of course, because that makes so much more sense than their stated intentions to fix unsustainable economic activity and balance the game. I mean, what kind of business tries to increase profitability when they could instead be arbitrarily dicking over a portion of their customer base?

Not to forget the open secret that they’re collaborating against new players …
… with CODE., and suicide gankers in general. CCP hates new players!

Can’t just ignore this fact.

Well, this section likely refers to another set of nerfs for highsec, specifically highsec incomes which have not be touched directly yet like everywhere else.

The whole section clearly refers rebalancing income across the spaces. The reference to “the Empires’ patience” probably is referring to a dynamic income system for highsec in the form of a tax or other levy on capsuleers earning ISK in their space. This will hit popular L4 mission systems very hard as they get taxed heavily, while more remote and less used places will see a buff in income.

Probably ‘All Of The Above’…

Almost definitely.

Almost definitely not.

I have no idea what CCP will do but I will make this prediction. It won’t do what CCP think it will, and it will disadvantage newer players and smaller groups more than well established players and larger groups.

Confirm, capsuleers will be banned from highsec. They will install camera drones in Jita and stream, so you can watch Jita trade of NPCs in future for your entertainment, while happily cruise in low and nullsec.

The future belongs to NPCs, you will have to get an NPC license to play in high sec, then you will have to do what NPCs do.

You will give missions to other NPCs, you will pay for missions to NPCs running them, you will insure NPC ships and bounty them too. You will mine in NPC fleets as one of NPCs. You will put market orders for NPCs and collect broker taxes for that. You will repair NPC ships and manufacture NPC ships.
Whole of high sec will be grateful to you.

Even if you read the dev blog perfectly it would not mean CCP would not just revert changes due to a -1.3% sub decrease over that 1/4.

It does sound like CCP want to make high sec a safe space for level 4 pve, yes. Depending on 1/4 uptick it will be promptly reverted or stay.

If it stays there of course will be a 4/4 down tick but that is the way of CCP, win 1/4 and lose 3/4 subs year upon, year upon, year & oh look millions blasted at 3 fps shooters. This is the way.

I for one think it’s about time they nerf wormholes

Maybe it means that we all will have Capsuleer status revoked, get busted down to Normie, and have to play on a new ironman mode in HS where if you get podded your character is wiped lol.

They nerf wormholes like every second update.

Yeah but it’s still about time the nerfed wormholes again regardless

I dunno how much more nerf batting they can take. Literally just about every second update, for a long time now, there has been some bad news for the wormholers or another… Part of the problem in wormholes is that the nerfing in wormholes keeps taking negative sorts of forms. Like making it so you can’t really farm them when small wormholes are up just means wormholers log on wanting to play, see the small wormhole, then log off… Removing most of the ore took out one of the only things there is to do in a wormhole… Data and relic sites have become basically just minor combat sites now that the mats they drop are worth virtually nothing. There is just less to do there these days than there used to be. Lots of times, there is literally nothing to do.

I think what wormholes need most is more content. If the risk/reward balance is off in wormholes, they should fix that by updating content to make it riskier, not by just continuing to remove or render useless content to make the holes less rewarding. Let’s get the sleepers the improved AI, for example. Or maybe make sites less predictable- random triggers, or instead of always spawning X battleships, maybe it spawns 2-8 battleships or something. I also think wormholes need some kind of not-very-rewarding, always-on, content. Maybe unique kinds of missions, or a low reward combat anomaly that spawns much more rapidly, that can only be done in a frigate or something.

It is isn’t it, as amusing as your anecdote is how many disappointments have we had with many of the updates, sure I give CCP credit for things they have added but with these major changes it just doesn’t inspire confidence that it will mean good for the high sec I loved, it’s not our fault AFK or botting is a problem or for that matter RMT, they keep (CCP), twisting in the wind over a game that needs a newer engine that would be resistant to botting, I have no problem with AFK because if you are paying a subscription shouldn’t you have the right to play how you wish, where the support for people to pay for a service and intake that service how they please?

“Who says it has to be nerfs to high, it could be buffs to high sec, everyone is just assuming.”
