Again there is another 164.30mb download. Seems to be almost every other day. Anyone know whats these downloads are for ?
On top of that there is another download/patch of a couple hundred mb as well. It cant be to improve the game as there seems to be more problems than ever.

It is updates for the government overwatch programme.
Don’t worry, citizen.
It’s for your own protection.
Every day the same spiel. No mentions at all about any of these downloads in the patch notes. They are always separate downloads from actual patches, like today there was a second patch with over 400 MB payload.
In all likelihood, it’s CCP’s modern garbage IT system, which also causes all these connection issues and crashes lately, that craps itself every single day and downloads random gifs and memes into the client.

I’ve been keeping track for the past 100 days and 38 of those days have had downloads…
As for the 164.30 MiB (+ or - a few MiB’s) downloads, those seem to happen quite regularly… When it happens with a major download following it, there’s usually a message about ‘Copying Executables 207/207’, then the major download happens.
When there’s no major download following it, there’s usually no message with it…
According to my notes, those single 164.30 MiB (+ or - a few MiB’s) downloads have happened on 12 out of the past 100 days…

The strangest part is that no one from CCP seems to ever address these threads, it’s like they want us to wonder and speculate what’s in these bundles.
I want to believe they’re planning a secret expansion pack so major that the only way to keep it secret is to drip feed it in small portions over the course of years.
I want to believe that.
I don’t of course, and will continue playing on a siloed machine

its been addressed… @CCP_Swift i believe made note that not all patches will receive notes, and that a lot of it is background stuff that won’t affect us directly.
So no alternate reality versions of New Eden?

I was gonna say something similar. Updates to the NES. New packs or removing old packs. Updating prices for sales going on. Stuff like that. Doesn’t effect overall gameplay so no need for a patch note.
