'Drifter Crisis' Event: Increased Rewards and More Sites!

Did 75 jumps and no even one site spotted - strange

Yeah exactly. EVE is a prime example of “missed opportunities”. Many good ideas in their core, but the actual implementation is beyond bad. I don’t know why exactly that is. Can be that the devs really don’t play the game that much. At least not in a realistic way, maybe inside a somewhat exclusive bubble that doesn’t reflect the stuff an average EVE player experiences.

Worst event ever - No sites in Hi-Sec, Loot is crap, same with crap blueprints - haha if you can’t find bloody sites how to do BP`s? and CCP has that deep in Black Hole - they want real money not ISK from sites

ever heard of the event in the womrhole ? go join a fleet and smash some drifter dreads

… and get 10 points and 20 million if you lucky?

Speaking of trying the Drifter Wormhole side of the event, EVE News is highlighting that the battle for influence in the WHs ends with this stage of the event:

The Triglavians, Amarr and EDENcom look like they’ve won the tug of war for influence. (I haven’t checked this side of the event yet, so not sure if that’s a solid ‘win’ or if the Drifters can push back.) Minmatar still need some work on their influence project and apparently the Caldari still need a significant push to lock down their WH before the event ends. So head out to the Min/Cal WHs if you’re looking to test the rewards there.

Multiple people have told me it’s their favorite part of the event, but I haven’t even hopped into one yet so no idea what happens at those combat sites or how influence works.

The WHs can also be used in just a daytripper/WH diver tourist manner to complete the event with little risk (for people tired of looking for sites). The details are in this video. (There’s a lot of background info first and then the specific details start around the 29 minute mark.)

its painful to watch a sponsored content creator explain in depth how to complete the latest game event by repeating hours of mind numbing activity to make number go up

He actually is not sponsored.

He shows a technique to get event points that doesn’t require locating the sites (which has proven tricky for some players). It’s an option to add to the Mining, Combat and Relic sites. As well as the whatever-the-WH-combat stuff is (which I haven’t seen yet).

While I agree with many of the issues pointed out about the event in this (and other) threads, that still provides a decent variety of ways to complete the event. “Hours of mind numbing activity” is up to the individual, if they choose not to do a variety of tasks. Which is ‘business as usual’ for a sandbox game.

The event track alone gives out roughly 1 Billion ISK worth of rewards (330M in ships, 640M in Plex, 30-50M in skins and SKINR parts). That’s without counting any drops or event item sales. That’s worth some hours of grind for most players, I’d think.

dont get me wrong the guy makes fine videos imo

but yea, he is literally saying how you have to repeat it 24 times, in about 5-6 hours…

you can fanboi all you want but at the end of the day its pathetic, end of discussion

Well it is a month long event, you can just do a lap a day and be done in 6 days.

grind can be fine if you play a game

this event is sad, incompetent fluff

Just cross-posting some tips on completing the event for anyone interested:

There’s 10 days left in the event so if you need points, or want to help Minmatar and/or Caldari complete their Drifter Wormholes, there’s still time to get in there and get the rewards!

The Drifter Reckoning event is approaching a climactic conclusion! (So says CCP… maybe that means we’ll be getting tornados or something.)

Reckoning Nexus and Labyrinth sites will be appearing in High and Low sec. More sites spawning! Reward track increased! New combat sites! Danger, Will Robinson!

There’s a lot of new news, reward trading, and challenges to be faced, so if you’ve been holding off on the event, now might the time to jump in and grab those rewards more easily.

While New Eden factions maintain their occupation within wormhole space, Drifter forces attempt to open new fronts and strike back at the cluster! This escalation of the ongoing Nexus Reckoning event invites capsuleers to try out the previously wormhole-exclusive content while offering new rewards and increased opportunities!

From the Patch notes:

  • The seasonal reward track has been expanded with new rewards!
  • A high-sec variant of the Labyrinth Complex site has emerged:
    • Earn keys that grant entry to the Wrath: Locus Point site.
    • Locate the secret Triglavian trader for additional rewards (including the exclusive Skybreaker Tyrantbreaker SKIN!)
    • Find tokens that can be redeemed for items at faction traders within either Drifter wormholes or the following systems:
      • Amarr, Pator, New Caldari, Raravoss, and Yulai.
      • Note: The best deals can still be found within the Drifter wormholes!
    • Like before, these sites are intended for groups as large as 10 in ships no larger than a T2 Battlecruiser.
  • The Wrath: Locus Point, a variant of the Nexus Point site, has begun appearing within Empire-controlled low-security space:
    • The longer your fleet holds against the Drifter onslaught, the greater the rewards!
    • Bring Amplifier and/or Limiter keys to augment the site’s level of challenge.
    • The truly bravest fleets may discover Officer modules within the wreckage!
    • These sites are intended for 15 characters and restricted to T2 Battlecruisers and below.
  • Respawn times for the following sites have been greatly reduced:
    • Reckoning: Sleeper Foundry
    • Reckoning: Drifter Stockpile
    • Reckoning: Sleeper Forge
    • Reckoning: Sleeper Reserve
  • The following sites can now also be found in null-security space:
    • Reckoning: Sleeper Foundry
    • Reckoning: Drifter Stockpile

Thanks! I was wondering about these new sites. And they are still for fleets so nothing has really changed for me. Back to scanning and running Sleeper Forge. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Is the last reward seriously maybe yet another plugsuit… if you’re lucky”?

I thought I’d go ahead and finish up the new stuff added to the event track.
24 jumps. Out in the boonies. Minimal competition.
1 drifter relic site to show for it.

Maybe not.

The cross-posting (6 posts up from this) might help with various ways to complete the event without doing the various searches or combat sites.
