Drifter Crisis: Race for the Hives - Results & Data

o7!

The Race for the Hives event is over, and the five top-scoring factions are establishing a presence inside Drifter wormhole systems. Here are the results for the highest scoring factions:

We’ve also compiled some additional raw data to share, which can be found here with a note from CCP Wanderer

Some notes:

  • Day 1 was only 13 hours long and Day 24, 11 hours.
  • “Active Pilots” are characters that scored any number of points at any time. No decay.
  • On Day 18 there was a bug and the log was overwritten despite the points being added properly, so it is missing. Yeah, it hurts me too.

Enjoy, fellow number nerds! :heart_hands:

Would love to hear your feedback as the Drifter Crisis continues into its next phase: Nexus Reckoning!

Amarr

Serenity got a new SoE ship as a reward for scoring the highest; is Tranquility getting a new Triglavian ship as well for being the victor?

Any Guristas hunt this year?

and yet edencom will get like a consolation prize…like ahbazon or something

How did Amarr get in there. Ewww. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Poor Gallente. :expressionless_face: How embarassing.

All Triglavian traitors should be banned from all stations in Empire space and KOS in HiSec to everyone.

Aren’t you the Dodixie Princess btw?

Minmatar was pretty much carried by a few roleplayers from Minmil, we just wanted to beat Amarr and we did it

  • Thanks for eventually implementing a repeatable Deepflow Rift goal and repeatable goals period.
  • There should have been some meaningful repeatable milestone after 2000 points, there’s no point in continuing to get points on a main when an alt can get another Drifter Plugsuit out of it.
  • It wasn’t obvious to me what the status was or how big an individual contribution was for the chosen faction. There was no live update or anything, just a single graph in percentages halfway through in an unrelated news report. At some point I wasn’t even sure anymore which faction I chose on a character when prompted by the Agency and had no way to find out?
  • Just auto-claim the event points when I finish a site, just like ISK, don’t make me dig through some menu and push the blue button every time.
  • “Congratulations on finishing the site! Unfortunately you forgot to form a fleet with yourself again so get f***ed.” Come on now.

anyway

This graph indicates that Minmatar was carried entirely by harmonics (aka CCP).

Thanks for the feedback! While we’d like to eventually incorporate a live update in-game, during the event CCP Wanderer and the dev team were sharing daily updates in Discord.

I was rooting for EDENCOM. Didn’t have time to do the event myself, but if I had I would have gone for them.

How else would they cheat people out of their rightfully earned points?

Whatever updates you were sharing on Discord are completely hidden to anyone not in the chat room you were posting them to at the time. I’m looking at Discord and I’ve been following updates in Discord and I never saw whatever daily updates you were talking about.

You need to put them somewhere people can find. I don’t see them in Info, Eve Info, or Announcements. Talking in general is like talking to three or four people at a crowded party. I’m sure it feels like you are addressing your whole community because it says things like 12k online and 35k members, but that just means the things you are posting there are completely lost in the noise.

you do realize you can search “ccp wanderer” to see what all they posted and where.

its in New Eden News discussions

it was actually the fleet i was in who delivered got harmonics lol, we aren’t ccp

I meant that CCP assigned the points for the harmonics… Their impact wasn’t known ahead of time. It’s clear they wanted Minmatar in the top 5 and that’s fine
