OK I didn’t think of this drifter invasion as all that bad… But now they have appeared where I live and I got to say its a bit crappy, can’t do anything! I’m on holiday next week so will probably log off and hopefully it will of blown over when I get back.

No you haven’t and the proof is that I live in the space: The drifters are punitive and there is no progression, and you don’t have a dog in the fight, so your opinion is valid, but you should shut it.
This is the point. You have never seen any real threat.
It’s like my daughter after one more celebration of May 9 (official end of WWII in Russia) said: “i wish we had a war! I would kick and beat these fascists!” and all this childish stuff.

I have seen plenty of threat, been a target numerous times even been blown up some of those times as well. All i am doing is mitigating the overall target that is painted upon my highly expensive and blinged out operations.

This is getting interesting and we still do not have any info from CCP who seem to enjoy this whole mistery stuff while stuff is dying left and right.
Yesterday we had a drifter invasion and new info was found:
- the new Drifters can warp in to combat anomalies like heavens, they insta warp, insta lock, and you got 0% change to escape, a guy that lost 2 VNI’s reported that he didn’t have time to align out before he was popped - this seems like RNG killing, Russian roulette on who gets to live or die, if you are unfortunate, you die without any way to escape.
-they dropped on a normal combat fit supercarrier in a heaven and it seems that he would have died if Faxes would have not jumped in. - rorquals are completly target baits for the drifters as you are stuck in place with core on, there were multiple drops on that too, some died https://zkillboard.com/kill/77614019/

I just want information from CCP side and cut this mistery crap already, as far as things go now it doesn’t sound like fun to be killed in random generated russian rullete pve npc spawns.
I mean, the goal here is for everyone in Null to stay docked for a few weeks till CCP decides what is the final form of this drifter invasion? Where is the fun in that?
P.S. as far as reports go, the only thing safe to do now is to get a combat fit full tank supercarrier and rat under the Umbrella, anything below that is gonna be popped instantly. This is a nice change to the game.

I’m almost certain they’ll pull them out once they are satisfied with some destroyed asset quota. They’ll either take them out or diminish their presence once enough isk has been drained from Null or they’ll keep them as a permanent fixture if they’re profiting from surging plex purchases.

Remove all PvE from null-sec space.
No Drifters.
No Ratting.
No Anomalies.
No Mining.
No NPC bases and missions.
No access to NPC seeded items on the market.
No access to wormholes.
No buying items others have obtained from dirty non-purist PvE.
No Environment.
Nothing. Just glorious blank empty boring void.
You can just pointlessly shoot at each other and be happy.
(We could call it CoD: Eve)
And no more than one visit to high-sec per month. I’m not cruel - you can come and visit the real Eve sometimes and see what you are missing: a live, changing environment. And you would miss it.

The change is this new drifters that can pop up from anywhere at any time and you not having the possibility to react.
Why should anyone in a subcap get out of station if they can be popped russian rullette style?
Sounds like Gankers in hi-sec. It’s a risk you run.
The trouble with null-sec at the moment is the economic damage: they’ve crashed the salt market.

Yes, but at lest for gankers in Hi-sec you see them in local and you see them on scan. And even if they gank you there are ways you can escape, there is no escape from drifters…
