Ships are the game’s core feature.
It stands to reason that the developers ought to have differentiated control over their game.
I think that the reason it might not garner much support, if that’s even true, is probably due to a few simple reasons.
Players not knowing what the word Tierecide means.
Players being unaware that CCP can not pull ship balancing levers completely independently of each other.
I mean it’s a pretty crazy situation that you wouldn’t assume is true, coupled with the fact that even if you did expect it or do understand it, you might not understand quite the degree to which CCP’s hands have been tied by their own design.
I think that if players really knew that all their ship balancing patches were compromised in such a basic and limiting way, and that the flavour of the game was partially ‘fake’ as a result, they’d care more.
it’s a core issue that needs better representation. Sex it up a bit.
