You seem surprised. Were you expecting EVE Online to achieve world domination by 2030?
Can’t hurt to try, right?
But it’s actually bad when games try to go main stream. They peak for a while and then burn out. This game has been around for a good while and still has a solid number of active players. It’s as good as it gets, it may only not be good enough for you.
Sims players aren’t going to have their characters giving birth on the pitch while death looks on in terror that this is the exact opposite of his job while completely forgetting to harvest the soul of fallen soccer player that everybody knows is just acting in order to get more cars flying thru the air while calling it all football.
Easy mode is purchasing an Omega subscription and simply PLEX’ing all your purchases.
Hard mode is trying to do the same thing mining with a Venture in high-sec.
idk that i follow this logic as there are ways to remove stones and broken glass (broken mechanics or pain points) from the sandbox while still making the sandbox function as a sandbox.
this idea that eve cant maintain complexity and depth in game play while creating more streamlined less painful mechanical issues is a little out of touch. Eve will always be infinitely more complex than it first seems. Just yesterday I learned something new that I had been screwing up for a long time.
as far as this mythical third server, no. Tranquility is the one server to rule them all.
Im not a fan of this easy mode hard mode concept. I do think that there are plenty of ways to play eve casually as is, though there are mechanics that are abrasive in nature, and there are mechanics that add danger, the two are often not the same thing. Lastly market wise this third server idea is silly you don’t want to see inflation issues like that of the Chinese server
