Easy Mode & Hard Mode

So turning up Concord Response to actually make High Sec safe is a bad plan?

I disagree.

Plus it will make space for people to fly again, in non-cornered markets.

And who cares about farmer when it is only 1.2b they can transfer.

.

I think you’re afraid that this might actually happen. And that you won’t be able to shackle the newbs if they can dodge.

Nope, I just don’t get how 60k players dropped to 30k… [/sarcasm]

You’re disagreement is noted. Reality continues onward upon a magic carpet of facts and hard evidence.

Hig Sec is not safe. It’s just more expensive to be the danger.

Nicely put.

I agree on Hard Mode & the current system, but this paying customer ( OP ) can’t do it.

Do you:

a) Lose her custom.

b) Stop being an ass?

.

You don’t want either, so that is where the 3rd Server comes in.

As for farming, well, most of Incursion ( for example ) is farming. As is Carrier Ratting. Farming is everywhere already. You’re closing the stable door a little late on that one.

.

Yeah, we ain’t agreeing. This argument has gone circular.

Literally this. It’s meant to be like that too, and the balance is pretty good. The vast majority get by perfectly safely in Hisec. Note that it is called “High Security” not “Total Security”. It’s designed to reflect peoples freedom to do as they please, as long as they are willing to accept the consequences. This form of freedom may seem at first to be harsh and unnecessarily overpowered in the face of a new player, but when you see the bigger picture you can maybe understand the necessary evil. EvE “feels” dangerous in a way that few other games ever will, purely because of the potential for chaotic human interaction everywhere.

Ask yourself a more basic question.

Do you deserve to be treated as a lesser?

C) show them how important the pvp sandbox is and suggest ways for them to play in it.

When a) is going to happen anyway, unless we successfully do c), making more people quit by making the game boring will not help the game.

Intellectuals??? O.o. HAHA

So, explain this system…
Because it sounds like if i wanted to…
1.) pay an extra fee.
2.) farm on other server
3.) buy plex, trandser to TQ
4.) sell plex
5.) Transfer back
6.) rinse and repeat several times a day
7.) Profit
8.) Destroy economy in TQ

hmmm, sounds really broken, lame, and easily abused.
No…
This idea needs to die in a fire.

"What happens when a whinebear ragequits EvE for WoW?

The average IQ in both games goes up."

This used to be a joke in EvE, before CCP lowered the bar far enough to allow you to figure it out. Now you want the bar lowered even further vecause it’s still to hard for you. We get this.

Did you get on the Dark Souls forums demanding the devs make that game easier for you, too? Or is EvE the only game you want to ruin for those already enjoying it as it was intended?

Your b) is wrong. It should be,

b) change the game so that we retain a particular customer and then lose more customers?

And Daichi is correct to suggest that there could be an option c).

You seem to think that changing the game to better suit you will have no impact on other players. This is where you are going off the rails. That and you insistence that those who disagree with you are psychopaths.

This is the problem with the proposal. EVE is an open and classless system with a functioning market. So what happens in one part of the game will have an effect on other areas.

That’s reverse psychology marketing. I’m genuinely surprised that anyone actually believed that.

Not really, no.

  1. EVE was a broken, buggy shithole.
  2. They promised us walking in stations. STATIONS! Not captains quarters.
  3. The entire thing was completely overhyped and underdelivered, usual CCP style.

The problem wasn’t with captains quarters, the problem was that CCP sold us something they didn’t deliver on at all. EVE was a buggy mess and they spent half a year coding some shiny avatars and captains quarters together that melted graphics cards. And to give it the icing on the cake, we got ■■■■■■■ 60$ monocles and a leak of CCPs internal newspaper with a “greed is good” article.

The rage never was about captains quarters, the rage was about how CCP handled the whole ■■■■ and that they then dared to let us pay 60$(!!!) for a stupid monocle.

Highlighted the most likely answer to be given by CCP.

Ok, couple of things here:

  1. Why would anyone sell PLEX on the market in the easy mode server? If everyone goes there to “recharge” who are the people who sell you PLEX?

  2. So it is basically about Highsec not being secure enough? Did you know that it takes more than 40 t2 fitted Catalysts to suicide a proper tanked Skiff in a 1.0 system a.k.a. it never ever happens? The key is obviously that you have to play the game and fit your ship properly. Too hard for you already? Need a new server because of that?

  3. There are other ways to get your stuff other than suicide ganking. If you think a server full of carebears would be left alone so they can dance around rainbows all day, then you are probably wrong.

So, the wisdom from the mighty older players is…

You lose her custom.

.

Yup, CCP will have to deal with this. No-one wants EVE to die, but it is obvious that the Older Players are becoming a problem. And there will be no player intervention by the looks of it.

I’ve seen all I need to see now. Troll away to your heart’s content.

Why don’t you just quit and solve all the problems.
