Everyone knows emojis are a core feature of any chat apps like whataspp or discord so why dont we get them ingame? probqbly because eve is a 20 year old game. they are crucial for conveying emotion in tense and happy moments.
even the forum itself which should be way more primitive than the game has them. shouldnt be a big deal to code them in either bc its all on a differenr server soooo
The EVE forum is a https://www.discourse.org/ forum and in no way ‘more primitive than the game’, it’s just an entirely different thing. It’s not a game, it’s a forum. And people in other fora generally use emojis so it just happens to be available here too.
Personally I’m glad we don’t have emojis in EVE chat, it’s looks pretty bad and incoherent.
But if you wish to convey emotion, you could always use emoticons instead of emojis. One is pretty popular within EVE:
I love emojis, and would love emojis in EVE. Unfortunately there’s no way they could add them without also breaking POS code, or making stargates randomly disconnect the client, or making everyone unable to warp.
