Empire Exploration: 22 regions, 1,777 systems, 3,000+ gate jumps

I just completed the Empire Exploration trophy, which combines the Blessed Pilgrim, State Surveyor, Federal Cartographer, and Tribal Trailblazer. It’s fairly useless, but you can’t stop once you start, right? I do like exploration and enjoy wandering around New Eden and Anoikis.

I’m curious to know who else has done this.

I took my time, like 2-3 weeks, mostly semi-AFK. I visited 1,777 systems across 22 regions, taking a tad over 3,000 gate jumps (averaging 1.74 jumps per system). You get along the way the Starbound Trophy (1750 different stargates).

The main challenge is that there is no way to track this in-game unless you created your character after June 9, 2026, as the map shows all the systems you have visited since day one. I had to create a Python script to generate progress reports by region (hint: the systems you jump into are in the local chat log files on your machine)

A few tips, tricks, and other interests.

  • I fitted an instawarp 10AU nullified Crow to go around
  • It’s fairly safe. You can auto-pilot through some short HS system segments.
  • The only real danger zone is stage 5 insurgency systems, where bubbles can be used
  • I used https://eveeye.com to navigate

You autopiloted an achievement?

You wish it would be that easy

Speaking of exploring systems in New Eden:

She even got her own statue for the accomplishment.

I’ll never forget that one when it came out. This is one of the most amazing and respected accomplishments. And I did pay a visit to the statue to pay tribute to Katia

My suggestion is to not get consumed by some tedious and exhausted project which may be deprecated in few years. Just do what you like for available time and if it completes some achievements then may it be.
