Encounter Surveillance System Update

it’s probably safe for you to look for another nullsec block tit to suck on then. One that posts in intel channels.

Filaments are super rare (and ofc you have time to run when you see local spike if you’re not a bot-aspirant), wormholes are visible on the sig list (and you have plenty of time to run under the same expectation as before), log in traps can work both ways (if you’re in an actual group, like ns is supposed to be) and cloaky campers can be baited as well (like i said before).

It’s near 100%. You should check the other means to do isk and you’ll see they are way lower than this as income/risks go. You just probably have to stop paying your rent with isk and try to enjoy the game a bit, i guess.

Building them, sure. But you can own and use them in low. Amamake’s got a keep. Bosberger’s got one. There’s a healthy trade on them in lowsec.

Plenty of lowsec/highsec groups would be shocked to find out they need to live in null for this.

Only if you do PI, otherwise, what the hell do you care about planets?

Literally something you can do no matter where you live. Go camp gates in NPC null. Go camp gates in someone else’s space! Karmafleet did it for years on the Keberz gate in HED-GP, and it never stopped being hilarious.

That’s not a function of null, that’s a function of people, and can be achieved anywhere if you have people.

That doesn’t make it unreasonable to ask ‘and what do you guys intend that to look like?’ I mean, this is still CCP we’re talking about. The guys who have repeatedly expressed vague promises and then completely failed to deliver on them. Now, with another set of vague promises, they’re telling their players ‘you have to trust us’ and ‘Go ahead, quit. You’ll be back’.

No, we don’t have to trust them. And it’s not unreasonable to say ‘if you want my money, I’d like to know what I’m going to get for it’.

If you think that is unreasonable, let me know, I’ll give you an address, and I totally promise it’ll be worth it if you send $100,000 US to that address.

As a clarification, @ccp_dopamine1 , does the 3-hr window mean people have to remain online, in-system, and in-space for the whole three hours, or if I rat for an hour and then have to, I dunno, run to the hospital because someone got hit in the head with a hammer, will the ESS pay me my share automatically 2h later, even though I jumped out, docked up, and logged off?

1. What the hell was that crap? Hit the spacebar and the forum software publishes the response in mid-sentence? dafuq CCP?

Meanwhile cloaky campers alone are shutting down krabbing in entire regions, no matter what part of EVE or which alliance we are talking about, unless people are doing stuff in t1 drone ships and are feeding 24/7.
Near 100%, right. Please stop doing drugs.

I would think it’s ccp 's prerogative to disclose as much information as they want or need to to accomplish their goals.

Maybe one of the goals is to trim the bittervet population so that new recruits can thrive (which I personally think is a good idea, e.g., as long as the game survives). If said bittervet can’t handle a bit of uncertainty, he is of course free to cancel his/her subscription and check the newsletter once in a while to see where it leads to.

Intel is something made and maintained by players, if you want an Intel channel in hisec y can make one too. It’s not a nullsec exclusive feature/mechanic. It’s not even a game mechanic

I don’t know why you’re trying to suggest that benefits to null must be exclusive of benefits to other regions of space.

They literally told you in a devblog like three months ago.

And it’s the players’ prerogative to object to a lack of information about the thing they’re paying to access.

you’re not my real mom, I like my dose of crash daily, especially when it helps apply torps to careless nullbear gilas.

players are free to vote with their wallets, as with everything in a free market.

No, they didn’t. They made sure to stay extremely vague, gave no actual information about how pieces fit together, and then, on the recent CCP stream w/@Carneros and @caleb_ayrania openly said ‘we know how it will work, but if we tell you, we’ll have to change it all’. Which, you know, would seem to undercut your claim that they’ve told us.

Of course. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t also free to demand information ahead of time.

Thanks for not refuting my point about campers alone and thus proving that shitposting is way more important for ya.

“They did, but not in the way I wanted them to!”

lol, huge shocker that CCP is not going to release every single minute detail of planned changes in the future.

So now people need to enjoy the game like YOU want them to do, and not how THEY want?

So, they changed mining and now they are changing ratting. It sounds like they want to make all ways to make isk so annoying that people will only buy PLEX to fund their accounts. When the cost of the game is $15 sub + $40 PLEX a month to play, one is going to need to be having a ton of fun to not quit the game. Bye bye casuals.

I wish I knew the percentage taken away, so I can figure if I should just sell all my ratting ships and only have doctrine PVP ships. That would actually be simpler. Then I only even need to log into the game if there is a ping.

Where do you think the isk that funds the PLEX buy orders comes from?

Let’s doublecheck something…

Nope, that’s not ‘they did, but not in the way I want’. That’s ‘they did not, in fact, tell us what they intend it to look like’. They told us very vague and general terms about what sorts of things they might be going for, but not a single thing about how the whole EVE economy fits together, or what the purpose of owning space is, in their opinion.

yes, why not - seems to be the general attitude here.

Yeah, that would dry up over time. Short term money grab maybe?

What fights are going to be hand? Nano ■■■■■■■■ will just come in take isk zero loss’s other than ISK. Its just a ratting nerf with lipstick!

That and typically ratting for alot isn’t a 3 hour thing but we will see of course if it makes it not viable as it doesnt say how those who legit ratted get that last portion of isk when you have most likely logged off.
