Basically, eve creates ISK from thin air through NPC bounties and missions.
The problem with a system that creates isk but doesnt remove isk, is inflation. We need a system that permenantly removes isk from circulation.
By the way, other games like world of warcraft do the same thing. Their auction house takes like 5% as tax too, to get rid of gold from the system.

You get taxed twice.
Once in real life, and once in-game.
Not sure where this comes from.
You get isk from CCP, then, if you choose, and ONLY if you choose to get items from the market, you get taxes a small percentage of your total cost to CCP.
I can buy something from direct trading with another player, mine, and build something without having to pay CCP ANY taxes.
Again, you can play the game your entire life without paying taxes to CCP. So no, you are wrong.
But what you, and everyone eventually realizes, is that the taxes are a really small fraction of the total amount that uou end up using.
5% of 100 doesnt mean i will lose the entire 100. I only lose 5. With that 95, i can use it to grow into 1000, 10,000, 100,000, 10 billion. Then 5% of 10 billion is much much more than the initial 95 that i was left with.
Whats wrong with that?
Even world of warcraft understands this as essential game design.

Only if you suck at the game. But that is true for almost any game that you pay for.
I pay for omega and my net worth and isk only goes up. Been playing for 10 years now, and ive made close to a trillion isk, without buying plex.
If you suck, then you could play for 10 years, spend $10,000 on plex, buy blingy ships, go afk in lowsec and lose it all.
Yeah if you cant afford 20.00 a month because you need to buy food, you probably shouldnt be playing this game.
