EVE needs a place new players can try PVP easily

Because there would be tutorials along with it, just like exists with the other career paths. It’s about creating a framework to learn, which doesn’t currently exist.

like CCP is going to add MORE tutorials. They can’t even get the ones in game working correctly

In your opinion.

Plenty of newbies come to EVE and jump into PvP after a short while, experience losses, learn, grow, and have fun.

Plenty haven’t. How can we get more to enjoy PVP.

I do not understand you anymore , you called me twice a liar by saying that i am not a new player and that i am an older player and now you are saying that you are interested ??? and that after you ignored me and only replied when i called your name.
I also do not understand why to you have to be so cold and rejectful , it looks to me that you think persons have something against you.
Why are you so unhappy Caitlynn ?

Nice contribution there…

Now you removed all doubt that you are an alt.

And that’s fine. Not everyone has to PvP or even enjoy it. Mining and industry isn’t for everyone. Mission running isn’t for everyone. Solo PvP isn’t for everyone. EVE is full of niches and playstyles for all sorts of people and if they don’t like the game, that’s fine too.

You don’t need a new arena to provide those. Improving the npe would do that. I would rather see ccp’s efforts go towards that.

Believe what you choose to believe , i will get back to what i was doing , it is no longer worth for me to be here , i am now just wasting my time .

I wish you all the best in Eve !

Have fun in the game and have a nice day !

Sure, but unlike the other things you list, PVP is the one thing that threads the entire game, so is arguably the most important part of the game to be exposed to. I think having more people at least get some exposure to learning PVP (that they can actually take part in and not feel useless) will help increase player engagement in PVP. PVP is not presented as core to a new eve player, and I think it should be.

Good luck.

This is improving the npe what are you talking about?

PvP and PvE exist as a yin/yang in EVE. PvP drives demand for stuff, PvE provides the stuff. I would argue that the “core” of EVE Online are the relationships we build with other players. Based on CCP’s data the ideal scenario for player retention is for a newbie to get suicide ganked within their first few weeks of EVE, and then join a player corporation that uses voice chat. Everything else follows from there.

Adding a new arena is not adding to the npe.

It’s just going to recreate the problem, but in HiSec.

I don’t think it can be a bad idea for the game to help teach people how to defend themselves against other players.

Now you’re shifting again. First it was PvP, then it was solo PvP, then it was not losing, now it’s defending.

It’s a place to try what you have learned, without tons of extra variables that exist in the open world.

How do you generalize those skills to the open world which is full of variables?
