About the rip off at 3 minute mark in your video. As you and others know, last year BRUCE lost the astrahus in Tsuguwa system from a war dec. I posted about it here, not to be pissy, just to let others know “nothing is safe” from other players. This is the game.
Yes, the astrahus was marked FREEPORT and that did not matter, we are a school that teaches new miners, how to mine without much effort and accepting there will be loss. However it did not matter to those who wanted to destroy it simply for the core worth 600 million. I really don’t care about the loss of my station, it is replaceable.
I feel it is just very petty of players to do such, petty crimes especially against charities. I am getting ready to replace the astrahus, and pass out more free mining ships myself this year. However recovery is not always that easy for these charities. I sure appreciated the donation of the mining ships, they are named donated by Mike. I almost get the vibe there are a large number who want us to leave EVE altogether.
This incident was not the action of new players, this was planned out by experienced players. I hope they enjoyed their pathetic victory over the small guy once more. They have hundreds of billions of ISK and here they are fiddling with loose change. I get blown up in venture while mining, I am not whining about it. I see this like some guy blowing up a bus load of nuns, then laughing and bragging to his buds.
